A criminal case was opened and investigation is held connected with the illegal actions against Azerbaijani soldier Rafig Hasanov, who is in Armenian captivity now, in the military unit, where he served, Military Prosecutor of the Azerbaijan Republic, Khanlar Veliyev told journalists, APA reports. According to him, those, who committed illegal actions against R.Hasanov were called to account. Valiyev emphasized that investigation regarding tortures against Azerbaijanis in Armenian captivity is held as well. “Several years ago the General Prosecutor, Ministers of National Security and Interior Affairs issued joint order about establishing Investigative Executive Group. That group investigated crimes committed by Armenians. In 2005 Military Prosecutor’s Office was ordered to continue this case and investigation is held. Previous and following cases regarding tortures, as well as the facts of death are investigated within this case. Works are held on delivering materials in the international level regarding these facts. We’ll obviously achieve positive result. This is a very complicated and long process”.
