American Armenians again fight for the assistance

American Armenians again fight for the assistance June 11, Armenian National Committee of America has sent to the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the United States Congress a letter with full rigged facts. The letter states that the White House to Congress figures for 2010 financial year show that the assistance to Azerbaijan will be increased by 20 percent, Georgia – 19 per cent, while Armenia – reduced by 38 percent.
According to information received from the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United States of America, Armenian National Committee accuses Obama administration of double standards, though, following the same double standards that distorts the truth.
In common with regard to this statement, the Embassy of Azerbaijan noted that the figures quoted Armenian Diaspora Organization for comparison, there is a trick. Thus, the Armenian National Committee, in its complaint, rather than to compare the funds allocated by Congress in Armenia in 2009 and proposed by the White House in 2010, compares the figures, only offered to Azerbaijan and Georgia in 2009 and 2010. In fact, in the 2009 fiscal year, Obama suggested that the administration of Armenia to allocate funds in the amount of 24 million dollars, while in 2010 this figure was 30 million. Thus, the Armenian aid is not reduced by 38 percent, according to the National Committee, and increased by 25 percent.
Embassy of Azerbaijan in Washington, recalled that since 1991 Armenia is receiving assistance from the United States most Caucasian country, was the owner of 1.7 billion dollars.
The statement emphasized that the distortion related to Azerbaijan and Georgia, the facts intended to denigrate those democratic countries. And Georgia and Azerbaijan confirmed itself as a reliable partner of the U.S.. Unlike Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia did not hold elections, resulted the innocent lives of peaceful demonstrators from the opposition.
Our diplomatic mission considers that, if the Armenian National Committee of America will make available to the public, legislators and officials of the U.S. reliable information, thereby it will better serve the interests of Armenia and the United States.
