Azerbaijan estimates immovable property left in occupied territories
The AR State Register Service for Immovable Property estimates the quantity and cost of the immovable property left in the territories occupied by Armenian armed forces.
Arif Garashov, chief of the Service, informing AzerTag about it, stated that great part of archive documents has been destroyed by Armenian armed forces during the occupation period. There should be cadastre information in order to register state property officially in the occupied territories. But there are difficulties with gathering such information at present.
A.Garashov, stating that 4 territorial offices of the AR State Register Service for Immovable Property (including in the occupied territories) have been opened, emphasized that the information about the property left under occupation is being gathered from different statistic sources, as well as the local population.
According to the initial estimation made by the Azerbaijani government, the damage caused to the occupied regions exceeds $60 billion.
