Department chief of the AR Presidential Office: “We would like to believe that Russia hasn’t supplied Armenia with ammunition”

“Russia has officially stated that they didn’t supply Armenia with ammunition worth US $ 800mln. We would like to believe it. We would like to believe it, because it doesn’t come in line with the development, expansion and deepening of the Azerbaijan-Russian relations laid by national leader, Heydar Aliyev 7-8 years ago and continued by President, Ilham Aliyev. It doesn’t come in line with the establishment of good neighbourly relations between our nations, as well as the Presidents”, Novruz Mammadov, chief to the International Relations Department of the AR Presidential Office stated to APA.

The Dep chief, stating that such a step did not agree with the character of relations between the two countries stressed that on the other hand it caused the misunderstanding about the role of Russia as a co-chair to the OSCE Minsk Group.
“We would like Russia’s reply to be true. But as you see, Azerbaijani people, the society and different institutions are anxious about it. If such a fact really took place, it will crop up, because, it is impossible to conceal it. If such a case is true, we will react sufficiently and take a strict position”, he added.
