Laws on immigration and state dues to be changed and amended

Laws on immigration and state dues to be changed and amended The Milli Majlis Standing Commission on Human Rights discussed the issues on amendments and additions to the laws “On Immigration” and “On State Dues” on January 22.
Rabiyyat Aslanova, the chair to the Commission stated that about 7 thousand foreigners had come to the country during last 2 month. The process continues today as well. The fact that the law “On immigration” doesn’t meet necessary requirements, it’s necessary to make several additions and amendments to this document.
These changes will overcome the shortcomings in the law and facilitate permanent and temporary residence applications for foreigners in Azerbaijan.
The state dues connected with getting documents were defined more precisely in the addition suggested to be made to the law on “On State Dues”. So, foreigners and the people, who don’t have citizenship, will pay 6 AZN of state due for residency permission and extension of time, but if they lost their documents – 3 AZN to renew permission.
Draft projects were submitted for the discussion to the Milli Majlis to be approved.
