Opening of Turkey-Armenia borders in a short period of time is impossible

“Serious improvement was recorded in the talks on establishing bilateral dialogue between Armenia and Turkey. I hope the results of the agreement, the details of which are not known yet, will be positive for Armenia, Turkey and the entire region”

UK Special Representative for the South Caucasus Brian Fall told journalists in Armenia, APA reports quoting Novosti-Armenia agency. The diplomat expressed his hope that the US, which participates in the process, will support the solution of problems and there will be no divergence.
“Because the document (means roadmap – APA) is important for both Armenia and Turkey. We have always stated that conflicts should be solved peacefully, not by force,” he said.

As regards the opening of Armenia-Turkey borders, Brian Fall said it is impossible in a short period of time. “I will be surprised, if the borders are not opened before Turkey’s admission to the European Union. But it is difficult to say the exact date,” he said.
