Resolution of Karabakh problem crucial to stability in South Caucasus

Resolution of the Karabakh conflict as soon as possible is important for the development of the economy, “stability and predictability” in the entire South Caucasus, ITAR-TASS quoted Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov as saying at the Japanese International Problems Institute during a working visit to Tokyo.
“We are sure that resolution of the conflict as soon as possible will play a great role in development of economic cooperation, ensuring prosperity, stability and predictability of the entire South Caucasus,” minister said.
“We consider search for peaceful solution of problems to be important task,” he said. “We try to explain to our Armenian neighbors that national interests of our countries equally imply to reach peace as soon as possible.”
