Russian foreign ministry gave an official answer to the Azerbaijan’s note on Wednesday, APA reports quoting the Russian foreign ministry.
The answer was submitted to the Azerbaijani ambassador’s counselor in Moscow, Bakhish Zeynalov.
The document says: “The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, answering the note No.5/10-080/04/09 of the AR Foreign Ministry dated January 15, 2009, states that the Defense Ministry of Russia didn’t supply or sell arms and ammunition to Armenia, as it was shown in the “document”, which caused negative resonance in Azerbaijan. The printed material is a disinformation of anti-Russian character and doesn’t contribute to the positive development of friendly relationships between Russia and Azerbaijan. The Russian side considers that the issue raised in the note from January 15, 2009 is concluded and we would like to be assured that in the future the sides will not make hasty conclusions if such concerns take place and will solve together all the doubts in the atmosphere of strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan”.
In addition the document expresses hope that the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry will inform the Azerbaijani society and mass media about the position of Russia.
