Passing resolution on the so-called Armenian genocide in the US Senate will negatively affect country’s foreign policy, Senator of Georgia state, Saxby Chablis stated.
Senator answering e-mail sent via US Azeris Network emphasized that passing resolution №106 will damage the US-Turkish relations, APA informs. “It will probably harm America’s interest in the Middle East and Central Asia. This draft resolution wouldn’t assist a dialogue between Turkey and Armenia and analysis of Turkey’s past by itself”.
Senator Saxby Chablis emphasizing that there is lasting historical relation between the US and Turkey, emphasized that his country and Turkey are strategic partners in the framework of the Program “Struggle against Terrorism” and the war in Iraq.
Senator Saxby Chablis is the member of Senate’ army service, secret service and other committees.
To note that, in response to the appeals of the US Armenian community for recognition of the so-called Armenian genocide to the new White House administration, Azerbaijani and Turkish communities of the US have also begun counterpropaganda among the White House officials, Congressmen and public.
