Sarkisyan’s casino scandal

or how Europe got aware of the shameful gambling passion of the president of the Republic of Armenia – the fact well-known to the society

Information on bribery, corruption and other criminal activities of the current and former presidents of the Republic of Armenia (RA), are not new for the modern society, and not only the Armenian one. That fact has constantly been covered in many media outlets, including our newspaper. But recently, in Strasbourg, in the hall of one of the most influential international institutions of the modern world something supernatural took place, which caused general confusion. We better start from the beginning.

At the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe ( PACE) , on 2 October this year, member of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia from “Heritage” party, member of the Armenian delegation to PACE Zaruhi Postanjyan addressed the President of Armenia Serj Sargsyan with such a question, “I have to you, as the President, no questions, since you are here not at the behest of the Armenian people, but as a result of the organized crime and theft of votes in the election of 2013. You, de jure, can not represent the will and rights of the Armenian people. I’m going to ask you a different question. Have you recently played at a casino in Europe, as you are known to the public as a gambler, and have you lost there 70 million Euros? Who paid for you? If this amount was different, would you say how much was your loss at the casino?”

Sarkisyan in his turn tried to “drive the “undesired” parliamentarian of his country into a corner saying with characteristic for himself impudence, “I am deeply convinced, Mrs. Postanjyan, that I represent the Armenian people and I ‘m proud of it. Sorry, your candidate (i.e., Raffi Hovannisyan – G.J.) was unable to demonstrate the qualities during the presidential elections to represent the people of Armenia. Your words about the casino are the next produce of your imagination. I’ve never been in any casino in Europe, I do not play in casinos, I, unfortunately, have no possibility to have 70 million Euros. If I had such a chance, I would have shared it with you so that you are satisfied with your life and would not accumulate so much anger”.

First of all, I think, we need to refer to two points in the response by Serjik. One would sense that he is eager to have that amount, and it would certainly cause his eagerness to accumulate a huge amount of money, which in turn leads the person who has full power in his hands to use all possible ways towards it, including corruption. Besides, if he so strongly regrets of having not enough money then, perhaps, he would have played in a casino if he had that money. However, we better get back to subsequent events related to the “casino scandal”.

Ms. Zaruhi Postanjyan’s question made a fulminant effect to the Armenian government and the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), as well as their pleasers.

In addition to sharp and even fascist-minded statements, threats, swearing, some of which we will talk about below, there have been attempts to impose official penalties. Thus, the next day at the meeting of the National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abramyan stated that the composition of the Armenian delegation to PACE will be changed, “Given the behavior of Armenian MP Postanjyan at yesterday’s meeting of the PACE, and taking into account the “Rules of the National Assembly”, I declare that I conferred with the NA factions and I intend to make changes to the composition of the Armenian delegation to the PACE,” said Abramyan, reports epress.am.

H.Abramyan noted that the right to freedom of expression of political views is guaranteed as one of the main conditions of democracy, but, nevertheless, the expression of political opinion in its essence is not an absolute right. The speaker of the parliament went further saying, “Article 66 of the Armenian Constitution states that the right to freedom of expression of a MP is limited with non-usage of insults or slander. That means this right is limited when its application is rejected from the true goal – the start of free political dialogue. Article 21.6 of the PACE Rules of Procedure also contains a prohibition on the use of expressions that offend human dignity”. But even a lay-person would know that there is a fact of abuse of power (smells like an order from the top) by the speaker as he is not a judge and he can not determine whether Zaruhi Postanjyan’s question to Serj Sargsyan contained an insult or slander.

Some pro-governmental representatives, as it was stated above, barged into the “guilty” member of the parliament using all types of threats and abuse. We restrict ourselves to only a few of them – those, which had the most “distinguished” types of grovel or an extreme hatred for her. For example, former Armenian Ambassador to Canada, director of Modus Vivendi Center, political analyst Ara Papayan raised the degree of the”harm” from Postanjyan’s question up to the state level, “the statement by the Armenian parliament member from the pro-American “Heritage” party, delegate to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Zaruhi Postanjyan about 70 million euro allegedly lost by Armenian President Serj Sargsyan in a casino, damages the international image of Armenia”.

There was a more extreme call from head of the organization of “Armenian Eagles” Khachik Asryan (also Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs), who proposed a truly wild and medieval form of the punishment against the oppositional member of the parliament, “Postanjyan shall be burned alive at the stake, and not as Joan of Arc, but as Ramil Safarov” (Safarov is an Azerbaijani officer , who was sentenced to life imprisonment by the court in Hungary in 2004 after the pressure of the global Armenian Diaspora for the forced murder of Armenian officer G.Markaryan. Safarov was lawfully extradited in 2012 to Azerbaijan and pardoned by President Ilham Aliyev – G.J).

Now you can see what kind of “humanists”, “democrats”, “generous” and … “misfortuned”, “pathetic ” and “depressed” are these Armenians!

However, those “attacking” Postanjyan are in the minority in comparison to those expressing solidarity with her, including a number of international organizations such as the PACE itself. Indeed, above all, Zaruhi Postanjyan used her right to free speech, and secondly, she did not use any affirmation, but only asked whether there was such a fact. Anyways, that passion of Sargsyan has been discussed for a long time by now. Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, an oppositional politician said, “Postanjyan only voiced what has been spoken about for over 10 years. We have not learned anything new. Just the size of losses is gradually growing which is bad”. Director of the Caucasus Institute, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan believes that the above statement and the subsequent events highlighted the problem as a drop in the ocean of views – the problem, which is very typical for the Armenian society and the political system as a whole.

“Heritage” Party issued a statement saying, “Heritage” states that while protecting the right of member of the parliament Zaruhi Postanjyan to free speech, we condemn the ‘political repressions’ launched against her by the authorities and consider them unacceptable… “Heritage” is extremely concerned with the permanently deteriorating socio-economic and political situation in Armenia, and believes this situation needs an immediate reaction. Deterioration of the social situation of citizens, election fraud on February 18, the occupation of the power, and as a consequence, the disappointment of the general public, evolvement of the sense of inability to implement real reforms, corruption, horrendous level of plundering of national wealth and the state budget by a group of individuals, judicial arbitrariness, carousing judicial permissiveness and an ever-increasing emigration counting tens of thousands of people jeopardize the independent statehood of Armenia”.

At the same time the “culprit” of the Sarkisyan casino scandal Zaruhi Postanjyan does not repent of her action, and, on the contrary, continues to denounce Sargsyan, “I do not consider Serj Sargsyan as the president and do not recognize him as the head of state. Our government is not elected, we do not have a president, and we have no executive power. If we had all of them, we would not be in such a shameful situation. Therefore, my statement at the PACE was legitimate with all due respect to the Armenian statehood. Serj Sargsyan in his reply at the PACE has provided a testimony against himself… 80 % of the population knows that the country is gripped by injustice, elections are being rigged and the citizens once again realize that their votes were stolen. Today, Serj Sargsyan stands at the head of the theft, fraud and organized crime… There is a huge number of poor and hungry people in Armenia nowadays. I’m not afraid of anything and I will continue the fight, which is very important for me. I will fight to the end to have the Motherland for our children. Serj Sargsyan has no other interest but having millions of dollars and Euros… It is not my question that brings disgrace to Serj Sargsyan. The shame is that 35% of our population is poor and hungry. Our shame is Serj Sargsyan himself!”

It is impossible to disagree with Z.Postandzhyan regarding corruption, bribery and S. Sargsyan self-interest about what long ago it is well-known. Simply strikes that the president of the most poor in a pattern of the country, the person who before “take-off” on leading posts of Armenia was far not the wealthy person (speaking about it, above-mentioned G. Egiazaryan told that “when Serge Sargsyan arrived to Armenia, he even had no own cat”), is scattered by millions.

By the way, even if the sum of Sargsyan’s last loss is somewhat exaggerated, talks about his passion for casinos have been around for a long time

There is no denying the truth. Even though Zaruhi Postanjyan and her “Legacy” Party are ardent anti-Azerbaijani, the above spoken facts about the current President of Armenia will stay as the undeniable truth, although it does not cover all negative aspects of Sargsyan’s personality, and, above all, his fascist, hangman’s temper.

Occupied territories of Azerbaijan

Twenty years past since the occupation of Zangilan District

With the occupation of Zangilan district 20 years ago, on 29 October 1993, Armenia has completed the Armenian- Azerbaijani war, which was imposed on Azerbaijan by Armenia as a part of its plan to create a mythical so-called “Greater Armenia” stretching “from sea to sea.”

The district has common borders with two other districts of Azerbaijan – Jabrayil and Gubadli – and with Armenia and Iran what makes it of a great strategic importance for Azerbaijan. Aggressive actions to occupy Zangilan were launched a year earlier, more exactly in December 1992, when Armenians occupied 13 Zangilan villages and killed 63 people in fights, including 18 casualties among civilians and 45 soldiers with two captives. 188 people were killed in fights over the time before the occupation of the whole of the territory of the district; 44 – were missing, 127 – were disabled, more than 300 children lost their parents.

With the occupation of Zangilan district and having an explicit support from the Russian troops (as it is known, the Russian 102nd military base is located on the territory of Armenia and the 366th Russian Motorized Rifle Regiment was located in Khankendi (Stepanakert) at that time), the Armenian armed gang groups managed to occupy up to 17,000 square kilometers of the Azerbaijani territories, which make one-fifth of the total area of the country.

It should be noted that before the occupation of Zangilan district two other adjacent districts of Jabrayil and Gubadli had already been occupied by the Armenian Armed forces. That fact had left the population of Zangilan in a difficult position as all the ways to the rest of the country were blocked by enemy forces. Fleeing the enemy, people left their native lands and all the property and had to cross deep waters of the river Araz putting their lives in one more danger. The fear was not ungrounded as the strong river current whirled away tens of people.

The occupation of Zangilan district with population of more than 35,000 people, who lived in a city, a settlement and 83 villages with total area of 707 square kilometers, led to an enormous moral and material damage and colossal human loss (at the time of occupation the estimate of the total loss was over 3.5 billion US dollars). The district had 72 educational facilities, 46 pre-school centers, one vocational school, 70 libraries, 39 cultural centers, 4 music schools, a number of historical and ethnographic museums with thousands of rare museum pieces, 23 clubs and 22 cinemas, 64 medical, 12 industrial, 12 construction, 244 commercial, 38 residential and 43 communication facilities and hundreds of other public buildings and thousands of individual houses.

Hundred kilometers of roads and railways, 13 bridges, 8 reservoirs, 105 miles of water pipelines, 280 kilometers of electricity lines, and 14,260 hectares of forest were left under the Armenian occupation.

The territory of the district is rich with mineral resources, including reserves of granite, molybdenum, and various building materials as limestone and others. The rich gold mine of “Vejdnali” is located in Zangillan district. The district has been known as the only place in Europe and second in the world as home to plane-tree forest. Numerous historical, cultural, architectural and natural sites and monuments used to exist on the territory of that ancient district. We use the word combination ‘used to exist’ to refer to the fact that all those monuments do not exist any longer as they have been completely destroyed by the Armenian vandals. All above-ground and underground natural resources on the occupied territories, including the Vejdnali gold mine, have been savagely plundered by Armenians for last 20 years

.

It should be mentioned that Armenia today ignores all documents on the occupation of Zangilan, which were adopted by the UN Security Council (SC) (No. 884 of November 12, 1993) and the General Assembly (GA) (No. 62/243 of 25 April 2008). At the same time, Armenia pursues a policy of illegal settlement on the occupied territories of Zangilan district, predominantly with Syrian Armenians. Not only that, but the aggressor went even further renaming the district into Kovsakan and including it in the territory of Lachin district. The latter has also been renamed from Azerbaijani Lachin to Armenian Kashatag. Reportedly, Armenia is launching a project on the construction of the new city of Bagaran in Zangilan district with a capacity to have one hundred thousand Armenian residents. It sounds as nonsense. Zangilan has been an ancient part of Azerbaijan and it will be liberated from the enemy forces as all other occupied territories of our country.

Tribune of an IDP

God damn the Armenians – killers of my son!

It has been 20 years since that fateful date when we were driven out from our native lands, our beloved paradise-like places with breath-taking nature, air and water. As if all that nightmare, that great sorrow fell upon us yesterday and not two decades ago. Usually times goes with no notice when one is engaged with creativity, invention or has got no time, even a minute free being engulfed in pleasures of life. No, we are not so lucky, rather way around, our lives are so overloaded with tribulations, misfortune and all kinds of concerns that we have not sensed how those two decades passed by.

Exactly 20 years ago, my family consisting of five people (myself, my wife Zarifa and three children, the eldest of whom was 6 years old and youngest was only two years old), as well as many other families from Zangilan had to leave their historical place of residence in the village of Agali of Zangilan district of Azerbaijan and seek refuge from the danger of being slaughtered by the armed Armenian – Russian forces occupying the district.

Our village had been under fire from the Armenian side for a long time and the situation right on the eve of the occupation became unbearable for staying there. There had been casualties and injuries from shelling and several homes had been destroyed (as the result of shelling 7-8 young volunteers as Mukhtar, Damir, Inshallah and others, as well as civilians were killed.)

Even though the very fact of leaving our home was indescribably heartbreaking reality for us, the way out of our district was extremely dangerous. The way to the center of the country lied through the neighboring Jabrayil district, which had been occupied by the enemy forces by that time and we were forced to go to the Iranian territory by crossing the full waters of the river Araz. Thank God that our village residents could cross the river with no human loss, although they had to leave everything behind, all what they had gained from their grandfathers and fathers for decades. They had to abandon everything in a moment. We reached our country on the territory of Imishli District and then managed to get to the capital Baku and settled in the dormitory of the tram and trolleybus depot…

Anyone, not even an enemy I would wish the plight of internally displaced persons. Very, very difficult for us was the time over twenty years of the dormitory life. Can you imagine what it means to fit a family of five people in one room of 20 square meters, which serves as a bedroom, a kitchen, a guestroom and a study? And the density was not the only problem – poverty, unemployment and endless mundane chores were on top of it. Yes, we people who lived a normal and relatively carefree life before the occupation had to live in such difficult conditions. But we still did not know that worse days had still to come upon us.

9 years ago, in the summer of 2004 our family suffered another great misfortune – our oldest son, seventeen-year- old Natig, who was an 11th grade student at school died when he drowned in the waters of the Caspian Sea. My son won the waters of the Araz River, when he was only six years old, but he could not beat the waves of the Caspian Sea…

We do not believe that this misfortune was the result of an accident, not at all. Not the Caspian Sea that killed my son, but he was killed by Armenians – by Sarkisyan, Kocharyan, Balayan… I say that wholeheartedly. After all, if no Armenian aggression, we would have lived in our village where there is no Caspian Sea, and Natig would have not drowned being safe and sound with us now. Hence, the reason for my son’s death is not an accident, but his assassins are the Armenian aggressors, who forcibly expelled us from our native village and forced us to find a refuge in Baku. They killed not only him, with Natig Armenians killed all our dreams and aspirations for the son. He should have gone to the university, set his family and be useful to his country. All that was ruined by the Armenian villains and occupiers.

God damn the Armenians forever, those perpetrators of the death of my son and hundreds of thousands of young sons of the Azerbaijani people!

Armenians about themselves

“Boy” is seriously ill…

Of that Serge Sargsyan illness is in an advanced stage,

we were convinced, and more than once

Psychologists claim: the most dangerous in the criminogenic plan is teenage age – from 11 to 16 years. Representatives of this group of risk are more often than others clash with the law. As proof to that the mass of examples is given. I will tell about one of them.

As the chief of criminal militia for children of the Kiev central board of the MIA Larissa Zub, the certain boy which name isn’t disclosed left to the father with mother a note: “Don’t look for me and don’t address in militia – I want to see how the people live”. The child took away two thousand euro family savings from the house and left on the street. Returned by the outcome of the second day already without money, having spent them with friends for game machines and other entertainments.

Familiar behavior? That’s what I’m saying. All of us know one “boy” who wanted “to see in due time how the people live” and as a result went to big-time politics. The total of this leaving is – 5 billions honestly stolen dollars, continuous stopping in a casino where the amounts not only in 70 million euro, but also more powerful are left. Call this “boy” Serge Sargsyan, and he, here after all a tragedy essence, controls the country.

What diagnosis can make to him? Here two versions also can’t be – Serge Azatovich suffers mental infantility. All of us see his regular dashing aside from one extreme in another in questions of the foreign policy, the overall misunderstanding of depth of an economic abyss in which there is a country. We hear frankly primitive announcements proving that “boy” is farthest from the people. Now again we saw that “boy” is frankly sick and doesn’t hesitate to show it.

Before us in all the infirmity the unripe man of solid age which behavior in any way doesn’t conform to age requirements to his flaunts. It is shown in open demonstration of lag in development of the emotional and strong-willed sphere and saving of children’s qualities of the personality aged, no longer a child, and senile.

It is known that typical for infantile people are dominance of game interests over educational, rejection of a sense of responsibility for commit of offenses and misunderstanding of a high probability of disciplinary punishments for their implementation. Such behavior leads to disadaptation, and further – and to social problems. Also, the similar behavior influences a mental status of the infantile person.

Of that the illness is in the advanced stage, we were convinced, and more than once. Again – at the time of Serge Sargsyan response to Zarui Postadzhyan’s question (the second question to the first supposedly, is it true that he lost in a casino of 70 million euro – edi.). It were emotions of the offended child from whom took away a favourite toy, having in passing specified that it is bad to steal, lie and give out yourself for the one whom you aren’t. And I am glad that as a result everything managed “with small losses”. It could be worse.

Probably, worse it will be. At least, our behavior suggests that such probability is. We hoped that “boy” much more impute. We were mistaken. Now the error needs to be corrected. Common efforts. And the sooner, the better.

Balayan in his eternal role of troublemaker

But Putin didn’t even consider it necessary to look out of the corner of his eyes at his long delirium

For several days the attention of not only Russian, our people, but also of the Armenian mass-media focused on one of the “extravagant”, “scribble” old hacks to the head of one of the most powerful countries in the world.

It is a question of the 17-page open letter of the doctor in the specialty and at the same time not doctor by the occupation, in other words, the person who is engaged than you want, except a profession of the doctor (that is, he is “writer”, “historian”, “public figure”, the soldier, “Artsakh’s hero”, the “outstanding” separatist, the terrorist, the murderer, in a word, the full villain) Zori Balayan to the president of the Russian Federation (RF) Vladimir Putin.

In our newspaper we repeatedly addressed to a balayan subject, and, I admit, it always was for us the most disgusting and stimulated occupation because the entity of this person is so disgusting, what even remotely there is no wish to deal with it. But it is impossible. We have such a parable in here. To the person who in water and bear carries away his in embraces, people ashore, thinking that he grabbed any bag, shout supposedly release a bag, not that you will drown, and he responds: “Yes I release he, he doesn’t release me”. So we don’t want to contact with this infection, but he adheres.

So, in the huge letter which entitled not as differently, than “A problem of Karabakh – a problem of Russia”, Balayan with impudence inherent in it a joy, remaining true to his immortal role of the trouble-maker, the next time writes about “greatness” of Armenians – “the first Christians on a planet”, about “the true history of Armenia” rather about the “Armenian” territories, about “eternal genocide of Armenians” Turks and Azerbaijanis, about “an indestructible brotherhood of Armenians and Russians”… But the essence of the letter is made by his entreaty “to revive the Gulistan Treaty”, “on which Nagorno-Karabakh belonged Russia”, to think how to deprive Turkey and Azerbaijan of the historical lands and to achieve the general Armenian-Russian boundary.

For obvious reasons we can’t speak on all nonsense of the letter’s author, though each his sentence – the falseness requiring exposure. Let’s concern only some balayan’s “creations”.

First of all we will mark tone of the beginning of the letter where Zori flatters purely in Armenian: “Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich! First of all, I would like to sincerely admit that my letter is too much and my writing is deeply meaningful due to historical necessity, I would even say, the theme of strategy, which I want to tell you”. And, having expressed the assumption that the addressee, likely, won’t read an ego the letter, calms himself and erects Putin to level only the omnipotent: “The matter is that I couldn’t write my open letter today. At the same time it would be senseless to address it to someone to another”. And then adds: “So, Vladimir Vladimirovich, I, quit, I address to you, except other, and as the heir and successor of Alexander the First”.

Leading for a gain of layout of Putin to the letter the following words, allegedly belonging to his teacher Anatoly Sobchaku, Balayan approaches to the main thought of “accessory of a problem of Karabakh of Russia”: “All trouble belong to Gorbachev, if not to tell all our tragedy, began with that to the Armenian federal republic he designated the logical requirement of Armenians about association of the Armenian autonomous region as “a problem of Karabakh”. And meanwhile it is even more problem of Russia… Vladimir Vladimirovich! Check, that, on what Anatoly Aleksandrovich, very seriously and very much paid attention, I would tell, is historical”.

Further the scribbler falsifier chats a ridiculous joke that supposedly “Sobchak and Sakharov studied Gulistan (1813) and Turkmenchay (1828) treatises” and learned that, it appears, “absolutely new Azerbaijan was created on lands historically belonging to Armenia”.

Farther Balayan bears even more ridiculous nonsense: “… Emperor Byzantine Vasily the Second (the Armenian on a nationality) (!?- G.Z.), well knowing that the grandmother of the prince Novgorod and Kiev Vladimir Svyatoslavovich (Vladimir the First) the princess Olga of the first in Russia accepted Christianity, gave the consent to marry to Vladimir the sister – the Byzantine princess Anna. So the sources of the Russian saving Orthodoxy had Armenians”.

The author of the letter, without any shame climbing in back the head of Russians, emphasizes that, allegedly, under the Gulistan contract on all Caspian Sea “owner should only be Russia” when now there were also other flags from which “the most unwanted is the flag of Azerbaijan which for a justification and legalization of the right to a flag in the Caspian Sea intensively invents, and then contrive its history”.

Balayan advises to Putin to get and read Yuzakov’s any there published in 1904 the sixteen-languid encyclopedia from which allegedly follows that “after the Gulistan Treaty wasn’t neither such people (i.e. Azerbaijani – G.Z.) nor such country (i.e. Azerbaijan – G.Z.). But he intentionally holds back about the book of the prominent Russian scientist, the journalist and historian V.L.Velichko “The Caucasus. The Russian business and intertribal questions” also published in 1904 where the author speaks, of what nationality was formed Armenians, marking that “in veins Armenians have any blood”, in black and white writes on the 69th page: “Armenians in a large number appeared there (in the Caucasus – G.Z.) in the first half of the XIX century, as fugitives from Turkey, instead of aboriginals”. I will bring one more of an uncountable set of the similar facts once again proving that Armenians – alien people into Azerbaijan. In 1978 years in the village Maraga of the Agdere (Mardakert) region of Azerbaijan (by the way, near to the city of Hankendi (Stepanakert), from where was born trouble-maker Balayan) Armenians was erected a monument in honor of the 150 anniversary of resettlement of Armenians to Karabakh.

Speaking about Sumgait events, the author of the provocative letter as the proof of “wildness” of Azerbaijanis quotes D. Yazov, the Minister of Defence of the former USSR, allegedly told M. Gorbachev, the Secretary General of the Central Committee of CPSU: “Two women of a breast cut, one head cut off, and from the girl skin removed. Here such wildness. Some cadets, having seen such, were faint away”. First, even if Yazov who has realized in January, 1990 operation on destruction of civilians of Baku, told such, it is the purest lie because similar simply couldn’t occur in the presence of soldiers of the Soviet army. Secondly, the investigation proved that Sumgait events were the scenario of KGB of the USSR, and his organizers and executors – Armenians, such as Edward and Ernst Grigoryan, condemned, and then pardoned in Armenia.

And who is Z.Balayan? The executioner in the most literal sense of the word! Here a fragment from his book “Revival of Our Soul”: “When we with Khachatur entered into a cellar, where they (i.e. Azerbaijanis – G.Z.) held, our soldiers already nailed for elbows of the child to a window frame. That he didn’t do a lot of noise, Khachatur squeezed… in his mouth cut-off breast of his killed mother. Then I made that with this 13-year-old Turk which his ancestors did to our children. I tore off from his a scalp and skin from a breast and a stomach. He bled to death in 7 minutes… My soul exulted from that though on the 100-th revenged for pain of my people”.

In Balayan’s letter I gave “some examples” on the fact that, allegedly, in Azerbaijan the rights of national minorities, in particular Armenians, Lezgins, Talyshs are struck, according to him, they “are attributed to the Azerbaijani people”, one balayan’s word, these ethnic groups aren’t present more. But he says lies in the most impudent way: on population census of 2011 in Azerbaijan, in addition to representatives of other nations, 180 300 Lezgins, 112 000 Talyshs, 120 000 Armenians (even in the conditions of the military conflict to Armenia) live. And whether Balayan though can call one Azerbaijani living now in Armenia or in Nagorno-Karabakh? Also impudently he raves about “genocide” of Armenians in Baku, Sumgait, Khojaly, Ganja (Kirovabad), but, of course, words about mass destruction by Armenians of Azerbaijanis at various times in Armenia (in particular, in Zangezur, Gugark, Goycha, etc.) and also in Azerbaijan (Baku, Guba, Shamakhi, Karabakh, Nakhchivan, Lenkaran at the beginning, and in Khojaly, Agdaban, Garadagli, Meshali, to Kerkijahan, Baganis-Ayrum, Gushchular, Malybeyli, etc. at the end of the last century).

Pathologically afraid (it is brightly visible according to his letter) to strengthen of the Muslim world and the increase of the number of Azerbaijanis even in Georgia disturbing Balayan (“in Georgia in 1959 lived 145 thousand Azerbaijanis, in 1989 – 300 thousand, now – more than half a million”) therefore it disturbs at the same time both Putin, and Georgia government: “All this is a big problem both for Armenia, and for Russia, and, of course, for Georgia”.

Inventing about a joy not existing “the Armenian tolerance”, Zori complains to the president of the Russian Federation: “You as obliges heard more than once that the president of Azerbaijan with own hand eliminates all Armenian names and terms from “their” encyclopedic dictionaries that it, having disdained all warnings of UNESCO, razed to the ground of all churches remaining still after the father of the church and cross-stones”. Impudent lies! It is enough to tell only that at the center of Baku and now there is the Armenian church repaired after known events (!). And whether this provocateur of international level will be able to show, how many mosques are now in Armenia or Karabakh?

He beggarly addresses to Putin: “Tell me, please, Vladimir Vladimirovich, well as after all this you together with colleagues on the Minsk Group can though for one instant to give Karabakh to Turkey?! Really it isn’t clear, what will happen at the same time with Karabakh, and with Russia – after a while?!”

As it is told above, we can’t concern Z.Balayan’s all nonsense but as we can’t but mark still the following superimpudent nonsense: “About what territorial integrity there is a speech if… before October revolution there was no Azerbaijan?”; “the Armenian Nakhichevan and etc”.

More shortly, Balayan begs Putin to return to the Gulistan Treaty, “to take” to the Nagorno-Karabakh, and then “to liquidate” Azerbaijan and to achieve the general boundary of Russia with Armenia.

In Armenia Z.Balayan’s letter is met on the bayonets, even some declared it the traitor and the enemy of the people. And V. Putin, as expected, simply took and threw out the balayan’s letter in a garbage box. The crazy letter of the nasty author of another doesn’t deserve.

G.ZEYNALOGU,

“Voice of Karabakh”
