We couldn’t specify who’s civilian or terrorist among the Chechen refugees in AzerbaijanThere are problems with identification of the Chechen refugees in Azerbaijan, said Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov, APA reports.

“We asked the Russian authorities to make clear their identifications, but they didn’t help us so far. We couldn’t specify who’s civilian or terrorist among them”, said Hasanov.

He added that despite that Russia announced the end of anti-terror operations, but there are no talks about the return of Chechen refugees.

Hasanov said earlier there were nearly 12 000 refugees from the third countries in Azerbaijan, but now this figure reduced to 5 000. Most of them are the Akhiska Turks. There are Palestinian, Afghan and Chechen refugees in Azerbaijan as well.
