Famous singer Yagub Zurufchu submitted documents to relevant bodies for Azerbaijani citizenship. Yagub Zurufchu told that he’d be Azerbaijani citizen soon. “I presented my documents for about 2 months ago; in any case I’ll be a legal citizen of Azerbaijan soon. I’ll permanently live in Azerbaijan, because I miss Azerbaijan very much when I go to America. So I finally decided to stay here once and for all. I cannot live apart from Azerbaijan”.
Y.Zurufchu emphasized as well that the concert planned to be held in Heydar Aliyev Palace at the end of this year was postponed to the next year. “Chain of concerts are held in Heydar Aliyev Palace after capital repairs. So I decided to put off my concert to the next year. During this period we’ll prepare for the concert”.
Y.Zurufchu threw light upon the information about his house being bought in Shuvalan by an official lately and stated that information wasn’t true. “Nobody took my house. Generally I’ve a very good relation with all the officials and this will continue forever. As to this information, I live at the same house now and didn’t have any scandal regarding my house. The same official is building separate house for himself near my house in Shuvalan”.
Y.Zurufchu is the citizen of the US now, but Azerbaijani laws don’t allow double citizenship.
