American historian, Justin Mac.Karsy considers that Armenian false propaganda connected with so-called genocide by Ottoman Empire pursues political interests.
“By using history they want to score a victory in politics,” the American expert stated in Baku on 6 June.
“On the other hand, historically, Armenians always had very bad and tense relations with Turks. Today, Armenians have a very powerful Diaspora which formed within a long period of time and this also plays a certain role. To change this situation is very difficult”, Mac.Karsy stated. He emphasized that historians’ duty is “to reveal the truth, but the duty of Azerbaijanis and Turks is to deliver this truth to the world community”.
Mac.Karsy stressed touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, – “If Armenians consider that a part of Nagorno-Karabakh should be annexed to Armenia, then they should take into account that a great part of Armenian territory was historically the land of Azerbaijan which should be undoubtedly returned as well”.
Mac.Karsy is an author of 11 books devoted to Turkish – Armenian problems. His works were translated into the Arab, Turkish, Russian and other languages.
