Muradova stated that cooperation with the Azerbaijani representation of the International Red Cross Committee is of great importance for our country. Azerbaijan was drawn into the conflict and suffers from separatism. As a result of Armenian aggression, thousands of Azerbaijanis got missing, were taken captives and hostages.

No information is available about some of them till now. From this point of view, the cooperation with the International Red Cross Committee may be very helpful for Azerbaijan. Deputy chair of Milli Majlis gave detailed information about the laws on legal regulation of the activity of non-governmental organizations, as well as the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society.
Martin Amasser, emphasizing that the organization he represents highly appreciates economic development of the country and is interested to broaden cooperation with official Baku, especially underlined the parliament’s role in fulfilling international obligations undertaken by Azerbaijan.
M.Amasher, stressing on the necessity to expand the cooperation between Milli Majlis and the International Red Cross Committee, stated that one of the crucial activities of the organization he represents is to collect information about missing people, captives and hostages and assist their return home. The Red Cross Committee signed an agreement with the State Committee on Work with Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons in order to raise efficiency of the activity in this direction. The International Red Cross Committee considers that a law on captives and missing people should be worked up to fulfill theses of the agreement, as well as achieve the targeted goal; a round table connected with the missing people should be organized.

Later, the guest presented the copy of model law connected with captives and missing people worked up by socio-political and human rights commission of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly, as well as corresponding collection of documents of the International Red Cross Committee to
