Ali Babajan: “Recognition of so-called Armenian genocide by the US can damage Armenian, Turkish and Azerbaijani dialogue”

Turkish Foreign Minister, Ali Babajan confessed the menace of recognition of fictitious Armenian genocide by the USA. “There is such a risk to happen in April”, Ali Babajan stated in his interview to the “Aksham” newspaper.

He affirmed Rajep Tayyip Erdogan’s statement that if fictitious Armenian genocide is officially recognized in the USA, this will damage the strategic relations of this country with Turkey. “America knows about it. Such development of the events would damage the Armenian-Turkish relations and also the negotiation processes between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We openly say to Americans about it”. A.Babajan stated they had never been so close to the restoration of relations with Armenia. “Our relations have never been so good since 1915. We are too close to the settlement of the problems. We have a very good chance”. These issues will be discussed within US State Secretary, Hillary Clinton’s visit to Turkey, Ali Babajan stated.
