Uzbekistan supports Azerbaijan in the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem as ever, Kabul Beriyev, the Defense Minister of Uzbekistan stated in the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Safar Abiyev in Baku. The press service of the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry informed the Trend News about it. Besides the regional security issues and the development outlook of military and technical co-operation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, the Armenian-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and tension in the region connected with it were comprehensively discussed in the meeting.
Safar Abiyev, stating that Azerbaijan wants peaceful solution to the problem, emphasized that if this is not possible, Azerbaijan will use all possible means to liberate its territories.
At the end, an agreement on military and technical co-operation was signed between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
Ismatulla Ergashev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan attended the meeting.
