“The co-chairs don’t conceal their position. We consider that Nagorno Karabakh should participate in the process of solution to the conflict.
We hope that the text of peace agreement will be drawn after the basic principles coordination and Nagorno Karabakh representatives will join the process in the format accepted by the sides”, said Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Yuriy Merzlyakov at a press conference in Yerevan, APA reports quoting News Armenia. He said half of the peace agreement articles would be related to the life of Nagorno Karabakh population.
Merzlyakov added that withdrawal of snipers from the frontline could strengthen stability and security in the contact line between the troops. “The co-chairs proposed that. But unfortunately we couldn’t convince Azerbaijani leadership in the expedience of this step”, said Merzlyakov.
