Rapprochement politics between Turkey and Armenia will lead to the liberation of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (DPA) issued a statement at the board meeting in connection with the protocols agreed between Turkey and Armenia. According to APA information, taken from the press service of the Party, Democratic Party shares the concerns of the public, but urged to take into account the positive aspects of protocols: «The establishment of the Turkish-Armenian relations as provided for in these protocols, the procedure promotes the growth of Turkey’s role in the South Caucasus, the weakening influence of Russia in Armenia and Conflict Resolution in the region, and in particular the cessation of the occupation policy against Azerbaijan in Yerevan ». DPA believes that the policy of rapprochement between Turkey and Armenia will result in the liberation of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

The demolition of mosques in the capital was also discussed and condemned at the meeting. The DPA estimated that, as the situation against the beliefs of the people: «Members of the Democratic Party argue that such an approach, which is a relic of the communist and atheistic thinking, is contrary to the divine and social laws. Democrats call the Office of Caucasus Muslims to give a serious assessment of this issue and make efforts to keep the government from such actions ».
