Armenian-captured Azerbaijani soldiers’ parents say they have not received any letter for three monthsParents of the Armenian-captured Azerbaijani soldiers – Anar Hajiyev and Rafig Hasanov – concern that they have not received any letter from the sons for three months.

Hajiyev’s mother Naila Mammadova told APA that she asked the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and they promised to bring a letter from her son within 24 hours. “I have waited for several days, but there is no letter from Anar. I ask the President, the State Commission for Captives, Hostages and Missing People and the International Committee of the Red Cross. I concern over the fate of my son”.

Hasanov’s father Rahman Hasanov told that ICRC representatives in Barda told him that they didn’t know anything about his son and there is no interpreter in Armenia. “I don’t believe that they can’t find there an interpreter, who knows our language”, said Hasanov.

ICRC representatives conducted last monitoring of captured soldiers’ conditions and met with them on July 23.

Rafig Hasanov, 20, was captured by Armenian forces on the line of contact in Gazakh region of Azerbaijan on October 8, 2008.

Anar Hajiyev, 19, was drafted from Goranboy region. He was captured by Armenian forces at 9.45 on May 10, 2009 on the line of contact in Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan.
