The head of the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Ali Hasanov held a collegial meeting dedicated to the sum of last year. In the collegial meeting it was noted that State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons constructed its activity on base of relevant laws, decrees and orders signed by the president, especially on demands and obligations of “State Program over improvement living conditions and increase employment of internally displaced persons and refugees” and also Additions and Amendments on this Program. In the event it was noted that during the 2009 year two decrees and two orders were signed by the President and 14 orders and commands were signed by the Cabinet of Ministries which were devoted to internally displaced persons and refugees.
Last year it was held opening ceremony of new established settlement which is constructed for 368 IDP families temporary inhabited in the Binaqadi district, in the area of house- building enterprise and also for 596 IDP families temporary inhabited in the Goranboy region covered Finnish type of houses. During the last year building of 4 settlements in the Goranboy region which considered being inhabited 500 families and in the settlement Yukhary Agjakand established houses for 120 families and also in the Goygol region the estate for 26 families were built for Khojaly IDP’s and refugees and move of families to those houses were provided. And at the same time building of estates in the Absheron region, in Fatmayi settlement in purpose of improvement living conditions of 31 IDP families from Zangilan district temporary inhabited in the assistant buildings of Institute for Scientific Research over Agriculture in Sabunchu district, in Baku and the settlement of these families to those houses were provided.
Besides, it was started building works of five-grounded building in the Absheron region, in Ramana settlement for 70 IDP families which considered to be moved from those buildings which there is emergency situation for leave of them and that building will be in use in nowadays.
Generally during 2009 year 1142 IDP families consisted of 5710 members were moved to new built houses. Besides, it was noted that, relevant preparation measures is realized for starting construction of new buildings and settlements which were considered to build this year and regarded in the State Program of relevant departments and offices of the Committee.
