“Russia’s position is univocal and unchangeable: It recognizes and respects the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan”, said Chairman of the Russian State Duma Boris Gryzlov in his meeting with the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Milli Mejlis (parliament) Ogtay Asadov, APA correspondent reports from Moscow.
He said the State Duma didn’t send observers to Nagorno Karabakh and Duma’s leadership was unaware of the Russian parliamentarians’ observation mission in the so-called “elections”. “Probably they knew that I would reject their request if they addressed me”, said Gryzlov.
Gryzlov mentioned the Russian-Azerbaijani relations and said the relations in all spheres were in a high level and had dynamic character. Ogtay Asadov also emphasized the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Russia and said there was no problem between the two countries.
Azerbaijani parliament delegation led by Ogtay Asadov is on a visit to Russia on the invitation of the Chairman of the Russian Council of Federation Sergei Mironov.
