It is also interesting to note the Armenians are forced to admit (in order to make their numbers appear to be larger) that Muslims suffered great losses during the war. (Of course, Armenians don’t mention they are the ones who killed most of the Muslims).
The Armenian agents who walked the halls at the Paris Peace Conference begged that their country be given land from “sea to sea,” as Hovannissian stated. They also begged that a major power protect them by disarming “the civilian population, expel Turkish officials from Armenian-claimed territory, punish those who had perpetrated or participated in the massacres, oust nomadic tribes that were fermenting unrest, relocate the Muslim immigrants who had recently settled in the region, and retrieve Christian women and children kept in Muslim households. Moreover, the Peace Conference should require the Ottoman government to pay an indemnity, making good the damages of all kinds suffered by the Armenian nation…” (P 280, from the book of Hovannissian). The Armenians were not asking for much, were they? Here’s what they wanted:
1. Disarm the civilian population: Certainly the Armenians wanted someone else to take all the guns away from the 65 to 70 percent majority of the population who were not Armenian. Anyone can understand why the Armenians didn’t want such a large group to be able to defend themselves once Armenians took power. After all, the Armenians had guns behind the Ottoman lines and knew what a people could do to disrupt a government as they did in 1915.
2. Armenia wanted a major power to kick all the Ottoman officials out of a land that they had possessed for more than five hundred years just so they could have it.
3. The Armenians wanted a major power to “punish those that had perpetrated or participated in the Armenian-claimed massacres”.
The Armenians got their wish in seeking punishment for Ottomans. Great Britain made several arrests and trials were held. The interesting thing is most of the Ottomans charged with such terrible crimes were acquitted and found not guilty after a fair trial when both sides presented their evidence. Only a very small handful of individuals were ever found to be guilty of a “massacre”. More will be written in a later chapter regarding specific details. Needless to say, no Christian Armenian was ever investigated for the massacre of Muslims.
And history reveals that Armenia butchered an untold number of Muslims!
However, the question must be raised since the Armenians requested a major power to find those guilty of “massacres” and punish them, why was only a handful found and not millions, or hundreds of thousands or thousands, or even hundreds? How could only a small handful of guilty Ottomans murder 1.5 million people as the Armenians claim today?
The Armenians didn’t want any investigation into how many Ottoman Muslims were massacred by Armenian Christians, nor did they want a total count.
4. The Armenians wanted a major power to “oust nomadic tribes that were fomenting unrest”. In other words, the Armenians wanted a major power to remove the Kurds who had remained loyal to their own government, the Ottomans. In a later chapter a comparison will be made to the losses of Armenians as contrasted to the Kurds. It is interesting to note the Kurds didn’t suffer anything like Armenians did. That’s the difference between loyalty and disloyalty.
It also must be pointed out that the Armenians objected to the Ottoman’s removing them from the war zone after they took sides with the enemy. Now, the Armenians wanted a major power to rid the lands they wanted of Kurds.
5. Relocate Muslim immigrants: This is again an example of a double standard and their hateful ethnic discrimination, isn’t it? “Christian” Armenians cannot tolerate “Muslims” (Turks or Kurds). Revealing, isn’t it? Where do “Christian” Armenians learn this kind of “un-Christian” ideas and values? If Armenians were this intolerant, as Hovannissian clearly states, why do they insist on calling themselves Christians? How do the Armenians reconcile “intolerance” with “Christianity”?
6. Retrieve Christian women and children kept in Muslim households. Armenians make this allegation time after time but never provide numbers, names, or addresses. Muslims were experiencing terrible economic times and common sense cries out that this could not be widespread (if it happened at all) as the Armenians claim.
7. The Armenians wanted a major power to make “the Ottoman government to pay indemnity” for alleged damages during World War I. The Peace Conference gave them nothing. It is interesting to note that Persia did make a claim to the land called “Central Asia” at the Paris Peace Conference. In truth, this ancient nation could have made claims to what they could have called “Persian Turkey” or “Persian Russia” or the “Persian Plateau”. After all, they had a much stronger historical claim to these lands than did Armenia. Needless to say, the Armenians objected to such a claim.

Yuri Petrovich Kovalev was born November 29, 1965 in Goychay region of Azerbaijan. When the small Yuri was 7 years old, more precisely, in 1972 their family moved to the Krasnodar region, but without having got on there, in five years returned to native land and has not settled in Baku city. After finishing secondary school № 229 of Nizami district of the capital, in 1981, Kovalev went to work in advertising and industrial plant of Azerittifag. From 1983 to 1985 he held active military service in the former Soviet Army.
In 1987 Y.Kovalev became the pupil of 109th School of Warrant officers and Ensigns of the Red Banner of the Black Sea Military Fleet. To become the seaman, to swim to all corners of the world – was Yuri’s old dream. But, alas, his dream hasn’t come true…
Beginning of the last decades of the last century too had hit the people of Azerbaijan. Malevolent neighbors – Armenians – wanted to appropriate the lands of Azerbaijan, for what and started their anti-human, traitorous, separatist and sabotage activities: expelled all Azerbaijanis from Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, killed and massacred the people of this nationality without regard to gender and age, burned houses and whole settlements where they lived. Armenians have created the prerequisites for the massacre in Baku in the early 90’s, when hundreds of innocent people were killed, wounded, missing. And all this is a very negative effect on young Yuri, Azerbaijan is considered to be their homeland.
Considering his own wish, September 15, 1990 Yuri took a series of special police units under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic – Police Detachment (OMON). From the earliest days of service in this detachment Y.Kovalev demonstrated his skill, boldness, fearlessness and courage. These qualities have been clearly demonstrated in the battles in the different regions, especially in the battles for the liberation of Goranboy district from Armenian invaders. Enemy snipers were looking Yuri, has caused significant damage to the Armenian armed formations, there and everywhere – in the mountains, canyons, forests… For his head compensation in hundred thousand rubles has been declared.
October 3, 1991, four fellow OMON – Sergei Barynin, Andrew Kudenin, Alexander Abramov, and Yuri Kovalev returned to the next job, moving from Khojavend towards Agdam. The mood was great, because they have successfully completed the next combat mission. Also didn’t know that ambush enemy forces wait on the way…
Suddenly, the Armenians began to incessantly bombard “UAZ”, which were brave OMON. They began to be shot, but the situation was desperate. In this battle, Yuri died a heroic death. S.Barynin was seriously wounded. Having seen that all has become silent, Armenians have approached close. But here they were found by explosion of grenades. Brave Azerbaijan OMONs haven’t surrendered to the death. Even the death they have killed several enemy insurgents…
On the reverse side of the photo, which he once sent his mother from Karabakh, Yuri wrote: “Karabakh is my homeland, my pride, my pleasure and grief”.
He had two daughters…
On June 5, 1992, Kovalev Yuri Petrovich was posthumously conferred the honorary title of the National Hero of Azerbaijan by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan.
He was buried in the Alley of Martyrs in Baku. The school number 229 bears a name of the hero.

As it became known in Armenia started the campaign under the slogan “Armenians demand the blood of Azerbaijanis”. The campaign is headed by political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan. Information support – Tamara Grigoryan from Times.am. Angry misanthropic appeals are distributed behind the presidents of three countries at a time when there was hope for a peaceful agreement on Karabakh and the liberation of occupied Azerbaijani lands from Armenians. In any case, arrangements for the exchange of prisoners and dead bodies in the crossfire give a reason. Provocation L.Melik-Shahnazaryan obviously was pleasant to the Armenian mass-media, which replicate the above-mentioned slogan and all provocative promises which accompany him.
I do not know how you, ambassadors, but assumed that it was unacceptable to negotiate peace and stability, and behind its negotiating partners to initiate a campaign entitled “Armenians demand the blood of Azerbaijanis,” “mad dogs shoot down, such is the law of life” and other similar.
In ambiguous position is put, and Russia’s President Mr. D.A.Medvedev, who is trying to ensure stability in South Caucasus and personally made for this great effort.
I ask to inform your presidents about the situation and also ask the third addressee to hand over to Mr. Serzh Sargsyan, my letter is attached.

Hello, Mr. Serzh Sargsyan. To me it is not clear, who in Armenia the President, you or Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan? You, on behalf of the Armenian people formally call for the peace in the tripartite negotiations. He also on behalf of the Armenian people and at the same time actually demands the blood of the Azerbaijanis. So what Armenia achieves – a peace, or blood? It seems that fetid “bog voskanapat” (voskanapat – Armenian web site – edi.), with its bloodthirsty “toad” by name “LMSH” (Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan – edi.) used the right of “frogs” to self-determination, was separated from the other of Armenia and decided not to submit to You more than you.
Understand, please. As though wasn’t naive to hope that you, involved in destruction of inhabitants of Khodjaly and execution of the compatriots in Yerevan, instantly will throw the affairs and deal with the given problem, nevertheless other president at Armenia isn’t present. What is, to such and I address. After all, as Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan tightly exposed You. Still it is not known, how D.Medvedev will react that You the Russian president hold instead of “the blockhead in old Polish preference” (so-called words of character Shtirlitsa). After all, this is your citizen (or is no longer Yours?) urges to kill 50 (fifty) for one of Azerbaijanis killed by Armenians because of the shootings on the ceasefire line in Karabakh. Everything happens on the background of the agreements on exchange of prisoners and dead bodies. This even Hitlerite did not allow them. Or you have decided to surpass their sad records? And what about their unfortunate result? Back to the initial question: who is the president of Armenia? If the “frogs” would continue to “croak” as if nothing had happened, then the president – Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan. If vice versa – then You, Serzh Azatovich.

P.S. A policy, as it is known, dirty business. But even the dirt has concentration limits. It is unacceptable to negotiate peace, and behind its partners to initiate a campaign under the slogan “Armenians demand the blood of Azerbaijanis”.
Fragment of the interview Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan told Times.am to Tamara Grigoryan:
“… I think that the answers from our side should be asymmetric character: for every Armenian Soldier killed thirty or fifty families in Azerbaijan should receive the coffins of their sons. Only thus it is possible to make silent the enemy. I have a lot of years and I’ve seen a lot in this life, but first I have to face in our nation that is called “society demands blood of the enemy”. Understand, Armenians – very peaceful people, and today we demand blood. The blood of those who hid in the woods, coolly is taking aim at young Armenian children, the blood of those who gave them these orders. “All these people must be destroyed. Perfectly understand those who consider it necessary to use great justice: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. However, he believes that for one of lives we have to destroy dozens of aslant for our sacred homeland armed enemy. Health of one Armenian Soldier for me is more valuable throughout all askern (i.e, all the soldiers – edi.) of Azerbaijan… Mad dogs shoot down, such is the law of life…”
Bulent Alirza: “Russia benefits from the Karabakh conflict”
The expert of the International Center for Strategic Researches in Washington, Bulent Alirza gave an interview to Azadlig Radio (Azerbaijan), in which it is told about prospects of appointment of Matthew Bryza, an ambassador to Azerbaijan, the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and other issues. We represent some of the text interview.
– The senator Barbara Boxer, who opposed Matthew Bryza’s appointments as the ambassador to Azerbaijan, is re-elected on last intermediate elections. What will occur now? President Obama will change his candidate or discussion to proceed, and the armchair of the U.S. ambassador in Baku to be empty?
– Boxer blocked appointment of Bryza as the ambassador in Baku together with the senator from New Jersey Robert Menendez. Behind them there is a strong Armenian lobby. These two senators brought opinion of the Armenian lobby.
I do not think that position will change in the near future. Therefore it is clear, problems for Bryza in connection with appointment in Baku will proceed. Obama has the right to appoint him as ambassador and without the statement of the Senate, however I do not think that at present position will take such step. Maybe he will nominate another candidate in the post for approval by Congress. That is, the present situation develops far not excellent, and, probably, any time in Baku won’t be the American ambassador.
– To whom more harms the absence of the ambassador – Baku or to Washington?
– To official Baku. Through the ambassador here it would be possible to inform in detail Washington on its interesting questions of foreign policy, and also a situation in the country. For example, the entire account could be sent to the USA on last parliamentary elections. Naturally, there is an operating embassy in Baku, however absence of the proxy first person deprives of his many advantages.
Certainly, absence of the ambassador contradicts interests and the USA. The ambassador could express the views of the administration directly.
However anyway, as a result of it, lose the countries where there is no American ambassador. And activity of the ambassador would serve the best protection of interests of the USA.
The same situation is observed and in Turkey. For various reasons mister Frenk Rikardone hasn’t been confirmed by the ambassador in Ankara. All it isn’t so good, however so the American system is arranged…
– There are questions and on the Karabakh problem. President Obama declared “reboot” in relations with Russia, president Medvedev looks more active in negotiations on Karabakh. Under his initiative meetings with presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia are held. How on yours, “reboot” can lead to support by States of a position of Russia in the Karabakh conflict?
– We will not look too far forward. “Reboot” and new mutual relations between Washington and Moscow consist not only of this theme. Probably, a main point for Washington in these mutual relations – to draw Russia on the party in the relation to the Iranian nuclear program. At the same time, there is a project of placing of rockets in Europe which, probably, will be directed against Iran. The USA wants that, Russia didn’t oppose against it.
Naturally, on the Karabakh question between the USA and Russia already many long years there is a dialogue within the OSCE Minsk Group and outside it.
Russia already many years benefits from this conflict. Armenia all time expects support for settlement from Moscow, and Azerbaijan too.
In the past Russia used the Karabakh conflict to strengthen the influence in region. It will aspire to settlement if can derive from this benefit for itself. However personally I don’t believe that Moscow will come to such conclusion. Secondly, I do not consider that in a present situation of the USA put pressure upon Russia in this question and attach it special significance.
I already said that at them other pressing questions in the agenda. At the same time during the nearest period Obama will be compelled to deal with more internal problems.
– Whether it is possible to draw from here a conclusion that you don’t wait also for serious motions on Karabakh and from OSCE summit in Astana in December? In fact, after the last meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan under the mediation of Medvedev in Astrakhan foreign ministers of the two countries were entrusted to present the agreed version of base principles to the summit.
– Such meetings and discussions was much and in the past. There were many statements like “this time the conflict will be resolved”. However, not so long ago the president of Armenia has made enough sharp statement concerning Azerbaijan. Whether Yerevan is ready to the agreement, whether Russia will put serious enough pressure upon Armenia that it has agreed “to release the occupied lands” and to solve other questions? I not very much hope for it.

In army of Armenia – a nightmare
Lately, cases of violence over military men, their murders and other antiauthorized actions in Armed Forces (AF) of Armenia that causes our repeated references to the given theme have become frequent. Literally in 70th number of our newspaper article under heading “Bloody incident in armies of Armenia, the next time convicted lie of a management of this country” where it was told about the armed incident in the end of July when 6 military men, and about other facts in connection with AF of Armenia has been published.
According to the mass-media, in the night from 19th to 20th November of current year in army of Armenia, more precisely, on the Armenian positions located in the occupied lands of Azerbaijan, there was a next, extreme armed incident to a lethal outcome. As a result of the firing which have become by result of disassembly between the Armenian military men, as to the Armenian sources, is killed 4 and 4 persons are wounded. It is informed that from machine gun killed military men of conscript, Levon Esayan (born 1991), Nerses Galoyan (born 1990), Narek Saakyan (born 1990), Nver Sarkisyan (born 1991). Gunshot wounds of various severities were soldiers Sarkis Melkumyan (burn 1991), Hachik Aleksanyan (burn 1992), Masis Grigoryan (burn 1991) and Manvel Azroyan (burn 1991). We will notice that reports of some sources on the number of victims differ from the above-stated: 20 killed and 30 wounded men. By the way, falsity constant statements of a management of Armenia that, ostensibly local military men serve in Nagorno-Karabakh only, has proved to be true the next time: from the dead military men only one of Karabakh, and other three are called from military registration and enlistment offices of Gumri, Sisian and Abovyan, wounded also come from Armenia.
According to the Armenian edition “Aykakan Zhamanak” and “Graparak”, one of wounded men, M.Azroyan, comes from Nalbandyan village of Armavir area of Armenia, who received 4 gunshot wounds, including one in a head, ostensibly, shot at other soldiers, and then has tried to finish suicide, has been found in 150 meters from a fighting post. Meanwhile his parents don’t trust in the divulged circumstances of incident and say that, first, in Manvel shot from two different weapons, and secondly how he could after wound in a head shoot at himself? Interesting and mysteriously also that on an incident place there was no officer.
It is not only a state of emergency in the Armenian army. Approximately at the same time with the described case, in military unit near the Chambarak city of Geharkunisky area of Armenia has been killed 23-year-old soldier Robert Avetisyan whose body has been presented to his mother in the day of his birthday.
According to other data of the same newspaper “Aykakan Zhamanak”, Andranik Aramyan, who has got the knife wounds in Nubarashensky military unit, was required secondary operation.
On September, 11 captured on video and the video clip under heading “Real face of our army” where chronicled incident in territory of N-th military unit of Armenia is placed on the Internet. The military man of a part, major Sasun Galstyan under the influence of alcohol has beaten and subjected to humiliation of conscripts sergeant Garik Arutyunyan and ordinary Bakur Egikyan. According to the statement of the Minister of Defence, major S.Galstyan is arrested and accused of abusing official position. In September the military men serving on a contract basis in military unit N of Armenia, deployed in Ararat area, have lifted a discontent wave, laid down the arms and refused to execute command orders.
Employees of department of investigation of war crimes at the State Office of Public Prosecutor have transferred to party members of “Dashnaksutun” set of the file in which, in particular, it is underlined that the bribe demanded, for a delay from military service or worthlessness, makes 20-50 thousand US dollars that during an appeal each city and area have a tariff, and paid can serve in the ordered places. On investigation of the Yerevan newspaper “Ankak” if in 2008 for exemption from military service was required 500 – 800 dollars after 2009 this sum has increased to 7 – 8 thousand US dollars. At the present time due to the young, “paying” respite during the appeal, the newspaper writes, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan gets 15-20 million U.S. dollars. According to the deputy of Armenian parliament from “Heritage” Party Viktor Yakubyan, military service is comparable to imprisonment. At the present time, he said, a soldier’s death, bodily injury of varying severity, desertion and increasing corruption became intolerable burden of Armenian society.
Speaking against this policy guidance and is now forced to live in Europe, the Armenian army officer Paruir Stepanyan, presented by international organizations, a large number of materials on the arbitrariness in the Armenian army. In the document it is told: “Nagorno-Karabakh is unnecessary for the Armenian territory. Karabakh plays the role of penal servitude for those who are not reconciled with the current military junta. There break them, they become physically or mentally unfit for public entities after military service. These heavy and intolerable conditions reigning in the Armenian army, it is impossible to meet somewhere in other place of the world”.
The Armenian National Congress in the statement in connection with incidents in army ascertained that “the army has inevitably adopted all qualities of the criminal gangster mode reigning in Armenia. The first who bears responsibility for become frequent as on chain reaction, the bloody events leading to loss of a great number of young men is Serzh Sarkisyan. This criminal, terrible for statehood and the nation process it is impossible to stop only severe punishment of officers responsible for it or even corresponding ministers as there is no also a hint on similar intention. The situation both in this, and in other spheres of ability to live can be corrected only with elimination of an original cause and a basis of all of it is the gangster mode killing people, and also by an establishment of legitimate authority and the constitutional system”.
And the leader of the “Prospering Armenia” party Gagik Tsarukyan has put the requirement before S.Sarkisyan: “Seyran Oganyan himself in orientation is the homosexual. About it a hidden record is given to us… This disgrace should be stopped”.
According to the Armenian press, a leading role orientation of Oganyana was played his “lover” colonel Vova Gasparyan who is the chief of military police. It is known that they long were engaged in this business in Hankendi. Many homosexualizing high ranks in the Armenian army have been appointed to their posts after “tests” of Gasparyan and following Oganyan’s example.
All of these facts are simply impossible to re-read. In the Armenian army conditions of tyranny and violence, corruption and bribery, debauchery and bullying, moral and ethical immorality reigns. In short, there is – a nightmare.
It causes increase of number evading from obligatory military service. The newspaper “Krasnaya Zvezda”, body of the Ministry of Defence of Russia, referring to the minister of Diaspora of Armenia Granush Akopyan, informs that now in Armenia 10 400 persons who have evaded from obligatory military service, are wanted.
