A fresh serial of impudence, dishonesty and imitation at the introduction of Serj Sarkisyan
On June 24 of current year in Kazan, in the capital of Tatarstan, took place, the ninth meeting between the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in the framework of negotiating process on settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
At a meeting of presidents Dmitry Medvedev, Ilham Aliyev and Serj Sarkisian, as it is clear, the issues concerning the settlement of the given protracted conflict were discussed.
Let’s notice that many people both in Azerbaijan and Armenia, and in Russia, expected from this summit almost historical break in the Karabakh dispute, some even spoke about possibility of signing of documents any there. But nothing apparently happened. That is, either that no document had been signed, but, as they say, the conversation never got. It is no coincidence that the initiator of this and D. Medvedev’s eight previous meetings, upset in earnest. Before that has declared to presidents I. Aliyev and S.Sarkisian, that it would hold another meeting on the condition that the leaders have expressed its full readiness to sign the agreement. It seems that hunting of the Russia president concerning the additional intermediary mission absolutely on an outcome. It is possible to understand it: how much can be said on the same topic? To condemn Medvedev and its other colleagues-cochairmen of the Minsk Group (MG) of OSCE, it is necessary in other relation, but about it we will tell a bit later.
Thus, the Kazan summit of the presidents of the three countries has appeared absolutely fruitless. Again, because of the unconstructive position of the Armenian side. Though, according to the statement habitual for us made after a meeting, “the parties stated the mutual understanding on a number of issues that contribute creation of conditions for the approval of the basic principles of Karabakh conflict settlement”. As usual, “despite the fact that the parties could not reach an agreement at the meeting was a step forward in the negotiation process” has been made. Where this “step forward” – it is unclear. After all, if to combine all these “steps forward”, “made” during endless meetings between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan over the entire period of the negotiation process, then God himself knows where we would have reached so far. In fact, we are still marking time in the same place. One-fifth of Azerbaijan’s territory remains under Armenian occupation, and the inhabitants of those places – refugees and internally displaced persons.
Blame for the “futility” of Kazan meeting, of course, each side tries to impose on the opposite side, in fact, it is covered, as mentioned above, only unconstructivism of Armenia, Azerbaijan since in no way interested in maintaining this status quo, it needs as soon as possible to restore its territorial integrity, to fix infrastructure which is currently under Armenian occupation of the region and to return the population on a primordial residence, which takes years if not decades. But for Armenia – on the contrary, it is beneficial: it continues to draw to himself more and more advantage of plunder of natural, state and personal wealth, with the aim of granting Azerbaijani territories there settles its citizens, is trying to destroy all the historical and national value, belonging to Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis, uses the given territories for cultivation and transportation of narcotic substances etc. etc.
As for the reproaches addressed to D. Medvedev and other co-chairs – B. Obama and N. Sarkozy – then here it is quite appropriate. Just they – the country’s co-chair of MG of OSCE together with authoritative international organizations led by the United Nations – unnecessarily spoiled Armenia, time does not put it as the aggressor in its place.
And how’s this not happened, the Armenian-Azerbaijani issue will stretch up to the infinity…
