First president of Armenia:
“20 years after restoration of the independency, Armenia has the same problem again – it has to state its independency. The present powers don’t consider themselves as independent deep in their hearts, they consider themselves as vassals. And until today as Armenia hasn’t escaped from them yet, we won’t be independent. So, you also have the mission to state independency”.

“KARABAKH” AND THE IRRESISTIBLE MARKET: THE SIAM TWINS
Hardly getting the independency and running to the level which was called as Enlightenment in Europe, the USA started to step on the way of free-market increasing of the economics getting initial practice of thrift cleaned from different forms of the feudal superstitions of its previous parent state. And they immediately escaped from the stubborn, but skillfully-improved capital of Europe. By the way, this separation continued more than hundred years and also so many years were needed by the USA for appropriation of such huge internal market.
The USA appeared in Europe firstly in the years of the First World War taking part at its last, closing fights and providing its participation at the after-war division of the world.
Miralekper Miralesker oglu Ibrahimov was born 50 years ago, on 30 September 1961 in the Khalis village of Vedibasar district of West Azerbaijan, now known as Armenia. In connection with the subsequent removal of the family in Baku, Miralekber graduated from high school here in 1978 and was sent on active military service in the ranks of the Soviet Army. After serving a term in 1980, he has returned to Baku and entered to the faculty of physical education and military training of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. After graduation of university, he has been directed to Lankaran, where for three years worked on the specialty. After that Miralekber has returned to the capital and began to work as a teacher of basic military training at 153rd urban high school. While working at the school, he not only imparted to students the skills for handling weapons, and paid special attention to issues of military-patriotic education of youth, the formation of his high patriotic consciousness, ideas of serving the Fatherland, instilling pride in the Motherland, for its flag and other attributes of love a military uniform, etc.
The so-called “armenian movement”, started in Armenia, and further extended through its instigation of the Nagorno-Karabakh (NK) and Azerbaijan directed on tearing away from NK this republic, has taken away peace from Ibrahimov, as well as at all his countrymen. But after the bloody events in Baku in January 1990, he didn’t find himself a place. Death as many of his countrymen in the battle with the Armenian armed gangs in Dashalty, Malybeyli, and Kyarkidzhahan exhausted all his patience and he contributed to the adoption of a categorical decision to go to the front. For this purpose, Miralekber has addressed to the Yasamal district military registration and enlistment office.
In early 1993 he was appointed commander of the newly formed 5th Yasamal battalion, and he together with his battalion went to the front in Fizuli direction. M. Ibrahimov’s battalion actively participated and showed bravery in the battle for the Alhanly, Kyurdmahmudlu, Ashagi Seyidahmedli villages of Fizuli district. The commander bravely fought and was an example for other fighters.
March 5, 1994… After a long and bitter battle for the village of Gorgan which M. Ibrahimov’s battalion cleansed from the Armenian insurgents, fighters wanted a little rest. But at the same time, the scouts reported that the Armenian armed forces occupied two Azerbaijani villages. The valorous commander and his fighters took up arms again. Although the heavy fighting ended successfully for the Azerbaijani soldiers, and these villages were freed from the invaders, an enemy bullet has overtaken Miralekber. This battle was the last for the brave commander, and he died right on the battlefield…
He was family, he had one child.
On September 16, 1994, Miralekper Miralesker oglu Ibrahimov was posthumously conferred the honorary title of the National Hero of Azerbaijan by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan.
An ash of the hero rests in the Alley of Martyrs in Baku. Capital school, where he previously worked, now bears the name of Miralekper Ibrahimov.
