Organization of Islamic Cooperation demands withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from occupied Azerbaijani territories

“We condemn Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan and guided by the UN Charter state that occupation of lands by force is inadmissible,” says the document adopted at the end of the Islamic Summit Conference of the Heads of State of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Cairo, APA reports.

The document also demands the implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions #822, 853, 874 and 884 envisaging withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from the occupied Azerbaijani territories, including Nagorno Karabakh.

“We call to solve the conflict within sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of Azerbaijan’s internationally-recognized territories. We express regret over the destruction of the cultural and Islamic heritage, forced demographic changes, violation of the right of personal property and illegal economic activity in Nagorno Karabakh and other occupied territories of Azerbaijan, call on the member states to prevent individuals and legal entities from being engaged in these illegal activities. Once again we express our principled support for the efforts of Azerbaijan Republic to restore its territorial integrity and sovereignty,” the document says.
