“Unfortunately, the ceasefire is sometimes violated and I receive information about this from both sides. In such cases, I try to verify the situation,” Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk told journalists, APA reports. Andrzej Kasprzyk said that the essence of his mandate is to build confidence between the parties: “Everyone should exactly understand the essence of my mandate, which is not connected with the investigation, it is connected with information and confidence-building measures between the parties. Such measures have repeatedly helped to reduce the tension. Reducing tension means fewer victims, fewer sufferers and this is one of the main goals of my activity. It will remain so.”
The ceasefire was violated during the monitoring of the contact line of troops in October. In its statement on this incident, the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office has not announced by which side the ceasefire was violated. Azerbaijan has expressed its objection to it. /APA/
