ACTUAL QUOTE

Recep Tayyip ERDOGAN,

Turkish Prime Minister:

“Nagorno-Karabakh problem is as important for us as it is for Azerbaijan. We continue our unconditional support to Azerbaijan for the peaceful solution of the problem”.

Statement at the press conference in Ankara, November 13, 2013

Alain COURTOIS,

Belgian MP:

“Azerbaijani society based on religious and ethnic tolerance may be a model for Belgians. Nagorno-Karabakh conflict that lasts for more than 20 years hiders the region’s fully benefitting from the economic, geographical, and cultural potential. It is not acceptable that Armenia still haven’t implemented the resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council in 1993… Armenia should agree with this international frame and must respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Only after that, the balanced negotiations will be brought to the settlement that would be effective for the whole South Caucasus region. The refugees and IDPs problem in Azerbaijan is a tragedy. I call for the international community to pay more attention to this forgotten problem. While international community pays so much attention to the human tragedy in Syria, this old refugee and IDP problem in the South Caucasus remains out of attention. This creates obstacles for Azerbaijan’s social and economic development and its sustainable future”.

Aurelia GRIGORIU,

Moldovan Parliamentary advocate:

Speaking about her speech at the Armenian Parliament, Grigoriu got excited and couldn’t help crying: “I don’t even want to remember those days (we are talking about the events in connection with its speech objective in the Armenian parliament – edi.). It was a very difficult time. However, I don’t repent. Khojaly tragedy is our tragedy. We shouldn’t remain silent. What comes to mind when you think of 1992? The tragedy of humanity. My speech about the realities of Khojaly caused a noise at the Armenian Parliament. After the speech, the media representatives asked me how I could make that speech. I said that we should do it. It is the fact that Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan and currently it is occupied by the Armenians. I think that culprits of Khojaly tragedy should appear before the court and justice should triumph.”

From the statement during the visit to Azerbaijan, Baku, November 1, 2013

Stephen HEPBURN,

British MP from the Labour Party:

“The hardest hitting thing for me was visiting the camps for IDPs displaced from their homes by the war with Armenia. I have seen the new housing that the government is building for the IDPs but notwithstanding these efforts it is vital that the International Community does more to ensure that these people are allowed to return to their homes… In Baku I remembered most is that the linesman who awarded England the goal in the World Cup of 1966 was not in fact a Russian as reported here but an Azerbaijani called Tofiq Bahramov. We will always be grateful for his decision that day”.

Armenians about Armenians

Funny broadcast of “Armenian Radio”

Here is one more bit of an example that I have heard in the program of the same radio. At that time it voiced the following, “There is a socialist oriented party in Armenia ‘s political palette – the party of “Dashnaktsutyun”. Really, hearing this I nearly choked on my tea while sipping it at that moment. My goodness! I cannot believe it is said about the party with the statute, its program and all of its activity preaching (introducing into the minds of various Armenian communities) the cave ideology of nationalism, national conceit and national masochism. That is the party, whose efforts in the foreign policy of Armenia established revanchist and aggressive aspirations. That is the party, which took an active part in the development of those satanic plans and diabolical intrigues in the name of power chimeras as a result of which thousands and thousands of Armenians and Azerbaijanis of Karabakh were led to the slaughter (as if it was not enough to have hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis from Armenia and Armenians from Azerbaijan) – and suddenly such a party becomes the one with socialist orientation. Seems like an anecdote, and quite a big one, with elements of a hoax, with the explicit profanity of facts of long-established concepts. However, after a little reflection, I came to the conclusion that even though all of this is true, such an anecdote should not be considered as the revelation of Armenian radio. This anecdote has got a treacherous ‘beard’ – long as a century. If you remember, Adolf Hitler’s party used to adhere to the socialist orientation once. However, that was not just the socialist orientation but the national socialist one. Even though the term changes much, but it does not refute the socialist orientation, at least in its title. That’s the whole secret of the anecdote. Armenian radio in its attempt to hide backwardness and plagiarism of the Dashnaks decided to determine their political orientation as socialist (with no “national.”) But they still have got ears seen, ears that no verbal gymnastics would be able hide them.

By the way, is there a common ground for the Armenian term of “miatsum” in regard to the Karabakh adventure with the German word of “Anschluss”, the one copied for miatsum? It’s amazing how much of common we can see in it. One more example, the Nazis justified the Anschluss with the fact that Austrians speak German – the Dashnaks use the same argument. In addition we can see the same common methods, the same violence, the same corruption of souls and cynicism.

However, there are some differences: the Nazis acted openly while ruling the great power and sought nobody’s help, especially of the international socialist movement. Dashnaks have never had similar superiority and there is a great time difference in this case. That fact is related to their claims of being “democratic” with all verbiage and the so-called membership in the Socialist International, their Jesuit-like behavior and double-sided lives. All of this would happen with strikingly resembling aims: in one case there was the “Thousand-Year old Reich”, in the second “Greater Armenia”…

And for those who ‘brew up’ programs on the Armenian radio I want to say, “gentlemen, your memory has failed you and your anecdote has got a long ‘beard’, which is impossible to hide. This is also the case with the national orientation of the Dashnak Party.

Finally, I would like to share an anecdote I have heard on the eve of New Year. “Results of the plebiscite conducted in the Republic of Artsakh with all democratic norms, were announced in Stepanakert, reported the radio.” Real comedians, I thought! Every word from them is an anecdote. A full range of anecdotes. I would also say that the so-called Republic of Artsakh and the plebiscite announced by the radio are anecdotes as well. The pseudo republic is an obvious case: as it did not work with the ‘miatsum’, I mean with the ‘Anschluss’ , they resorted to a different way. As it is said, “by hook or by crook.” Reportedly, the producers of the Karabakh drama have prepared another option in case the first one fails – to declare the region a reservation, the so-called international gangster protection zone. It might really work. At least that project would make more sense than anything else. After all that land has long been a sanctuary of crime, terrorism and evident robbery. That is the land where human life is worth less than the bullet alloy as militant nationalists and hardened criminals have merged their common interests here.

And while having all this in reality someone insists on the democratic nature of people’s will here, in Karabakh.

Fear God, gentlemen! Once I witnessed such a farce which happened during the election to the parliament of the republic declared as a part of Armenia. That was a disgusting performance, especially cynical perjury of those calling themselves human rights activists who announced the “democratic” nature of it as if they were “trumpets of Jericho.” I was left with my sighs being upset with modern morals.

As for the Armenian radio itself, then the skills of its announcers telling the most incredible anecdotes with the most serious tone sound really remarkable. That what deceives naive people. For example, one of my old friends who listened to the Armenian radio and heard of the plebiscite taking that anecdote at face value, has designed a model of the coat of arms of the new Republic: A coven with mountains in the background, and Goya’s saying on the circle, ” The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters .” And now it is waiting for its announcement and contest, hoping to become its winner. No way to stage it better.

That’s it. Well, those who think those three anecdotes are not enough should do what I myself occasionally do – tune to “Radio Armenia” frequencies.

The radio is on from 17:00 to 18:00 pm Moscow local time on 6056 kHz.

Have fun, gentlemen!

Historic, political and military-strategic value of Shusha

(beginning in the previous issues)

In March there were heavy battles in surroundings of Shusha. Starting from mid of April a large number of armored machines and troops of Armenians accumulated in vicinity of Shusha. April 24 was expected attack of Armenians in Shusha. On April 29 Armenians undertook an intensive attack over Haji talasy and Dashashyran areas in surroundings of Shusha. All these attacks displayed Armenians move towards Shusha, which was under the blockade. At night on May 7 Shusha was under fierce missile attacks by missiles of “Grad” and “Krystal” type, cannons, tanks and machine guns. Shelling continued until the morning. From the early morning Armenians forces started to move towards Shusha from directions of Khankendi, Shushikend and Kerkidjahan. Despite that the city was defended until the evening of May 8, Armenians occupied Shusha and then villages of Kosalar and Shyrlan.

Thus, Armenian armed units deployed in mountain portion of Garabagh together with other Armenian terrorist groups fulfilled another crime on the territory of Azerbaijan Republic and captured the last remained settlement of Azerbaijani in mountains of Garabagh – Shusha. Fall of Shusha, which once was under the siege for 33 days and was not captured, for such short time was caused by very weak defense system within the city. Our armed forces deployed in Shusha and their military training was weak in comparison to that of Armenians. It is true that there were a certain number of military equipment and troops within Shusha. Prior to the attack there were 2 tanks, 4 armored machines, 1 “Grad” missile unit, 3 battalion, and 700 soldiers, however of these 400 were dismissed for leave. According to data of Armenians they had 100 armored machines and tanks and 11 thousand soldiers.

On May 8 of 1992 by the initiative of Iran the meeting between officials of Azerbaijan and Armenia was held in Tehran. Later it became evident, that ceasefire along Azerbaijan-Armenian border and mountain area of Garabagh served for special interests of Armenia. This meeting was necessary for Armenia in order to hide from international community their true intentions. Undoubtedly, Armenian authorities were aware of preparation of attack. Because invasion into Shusha coincides with the period when Armenian authorities held negotiations in Tehran and demanded ceasefire and that is why, signed peace agreement was in force just until the ink dried. At the same time, Armenians, as always, prior to their attack spread false information about fierce attacks undertaken from Shusha over Khankendi.

This event once more proved aggressive intentions of Armenia which did not suite to any international law norms and its intention to annex Daglyg Garabagh to Armenia by use of force, violating by laws of UN and principles of OSCE. By capturing Shusha Armenia resolved this problem only from positions of military tactics. Political resolution of problem deepening further was driven into the dead end.

After the invasion into Shusha, which is the ancient musical and cultural center of Azerbaijan, Armenian forces closed the road from Shusha to Lachin and started bomb shelling of Lachin from territory of Armenian Republic. The goal of Armenian forces consisted in strengthening their positions on Azerbaijan territories and make corridor in order to connect Daglyg Garabagh to Armenian Republic. Lachin was the major obstacle to fulfill this. Soon after occupation of Shusha in a short time on May 18 Lachin was captured by army of Armenia. Occupation of Lachin displayed that the war extended beyond the borders of autonomous region and showed huge aggressor intentions of Armenia.

Azerbaijan Republic after occupation of its territories used efforts of all mediator missions and showed its intention to resolve the problem according to principles of UN and OSCE. In May of 1992 the first stage of negotiations within the framework of Minsk group of OSCE started in Rome. The meeting in Rome constituted preparation for Minsk Conference on Daglyg Garabagh and was attended by eleven countries – the USA, Turkey, Russia, France, Italy, Sweden, Czech, Slovak, Byelorussia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. But occupation of Shusha and Lachin by Armenia turned into the hurdle for Minsk conference, which has taken on the mission of peace.

It is already quite a long period of time, that’s 16 years (21 years –edi.) when troubled spirits of Panah Ali khan, Ibrahimkhalil khan, Molla Panah Vagif, Nadjaf bey Vezirov, Abdulrahim bey Hagverdiyev, Khan gyzy Khurshudbanu Natavan, Uzeyir bey Hajibeyli, Ahmed bey Agayev, Yusif Vezir Cheminzeminli, Khan Shushinsky, Bulbul, Rashid Beybutov and tens of other outstanding personalities calls for help. Now everyone understands the truth: “Garabagh belongs to those who possess Shusha”. Namely loss of Shusha later played significant role in loss of other territories of Azerbaijan…

Chapter 7. Curved Arithmetic

I have mentioned that the method of curved arithmetic has been used by the Armenian propagandists not now, but since the 19th century. The desire of the Armenian representatives to add zeros to the number of their victims had been noted by then. If you follow that rule, the number of actual victims of the deportation of the Armenian population will reach 1,500,000:10 = 150,000 people. To prove that the Jewish sources, certainly trusted by Armenians, provide a figure closed to that. Here is one of them.

Leonid Gorsky, apparently, has long been under the impact of the Armenian propaganda. His hatred to Turks is evident. Alike the Armenian representatives and while having no proof, he believes that the Young Turks had a kind of plan to destroy the Armenian population. However, even that person did not dare to voice an insane fantastic number of a million and a half of victims. Even that person, who hates Turks had enough courage to bring the figure of Armenian losses as the result of deportation to be close to the real one, more exactly 180,000. And what Morgentau’s book says about it? Nothing clearly. As usual, it rushes from one extreme to the other. For example, on page 34 it mentions the future policy of mass murders («the policy adopted in the Armenian massacres»); on page 190 it says about the murder of a million citizens with no mention of the Armenians («murdering not far from a million of its own subjects»); page 221 mentions the figure as 600,000 people. But then it adds another 1,000,000 people. It means that according to [allegedly] G.Morgentau, Armenian losses as the result of deportation were 600,000 people, but according to [allegedly] his assistants (Andonyan and Shmavonyan) Armenian losses made 1,000,000 people. Who would doubt! On page 248 it is said there were 500,000 victims of the deportation («since not far from 500,000 Armenians had been killed by this time»). No matter how evident is that neither Morgenthau, nor his Armenian assistants did not have accurate information about the victims of the deportation, and their figures published in the book are obviously approximate and were obtained from third or even fourth sources in the chain of their informants, who were missionaries, agents from the representatives of the Armenian community and consuls hostile to Turks.

Turkish data on the deportation of the Armenian population. According to the archives of the Ottoman government 438,758 people were subject to resettlement (deportation). 382,148 out of them reached new places of resettlement. 7,700 people perished on the way as the result of bandit attacks or local population. 30,000 people died of starvation, weather conditions and epidemics (mainly of typhoid and dysentery). A part of the evicted ones were allowed to return after the cancellation of the deportation order. There were 18,910 of such people. Of course, the Turks had tempted to underestimate the data on both categories – deported and the dead. That is why, I think their numbers worth being critically analyzed and verified, as well as the Armenian exaggerations of the real number of casualties. The actual number of dead must be found by comparing the Armenian population before the deportation and the one that survived the tragic events. The difference between them would give the number of dead approximate to reality. We call the data approximate as no one has exact numbers but the Almighty.

A fragment from an article by Leonid Gorsky “From pogroms to Palestine”, New York, October 16, 2008, Jewish newspaper “Forum” might serve as a good example.
