Azerbaijan to showcase universal offensive machinegun at international exhibition in Malaysia for the first time

The Defense Industry Ministry plans to exhibit 132 types of products

 

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijan-produced universal offensive machinegun will be demonstrated for the first time at DSA-2014 International Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia next week,APA reports.

 

7.62-caliber machinegun was produced by Azerbaijani experts.

 

The new gun differs from Kalashnikov machine gun, which currently is in the arsenal of a number of countries, including Azerbaijan.

 

Though this gun is similar to HP-7.62, which was demonstrated at IDEF-2013 in Turkey for the first time, it has a longer barrel.

 

Additional information about the technical and tactical performance of the new gun will be given at the exhibition.

 

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense plans to showcase 132 types of products, including small arms, ammunitions, defense products and vehicles at DSA-2014 to be held on April 14-17 Malaysia.  

 

About 1000 manufacturing companies will present their products at the exhibition.
