An official welcoming ceremony has today been held for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the residence of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.
A guard of honor was lined up in honor of the distinguished guest in the square, decorated with the state flags of the two countries, APAreports.
The commander of the guard of honor reported to the Azerbaijani President. The Azerbaijani President welcomed his Turkish counterpart. The national anthems of the two countries were played after the commander of the guard of honor reported to the Turkish President. The Turkish President greeted the Azerbaijani soldiers. State and governmental officials of Azerbaijan were introduced to Erdogan, while the members of the Turkish delegation to Aliyev. Then the Presidents posed together for photographs.
Later on, the presidents held a one-on-one meeting.
