In accordance with the plan approved by Azerbaijan’s President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, the Armed Forces will hold large-scale drills in the field conditions from Nov.12 to 18 to inspect the command and control of troops and weapon systems, the Defense Ministry said on Nov. 3.
The drills will involve about 60,000 military personnel, more than 50 aircraft and helicopters, more than 150 tanks and armored combat vehicles, as well as up to 700 systems of rocket and artillery troops.
