Azerbaijan establishes new system exercising remote control over oil wells

The system makes it available to reveal secret period of possible accidents in oil wells and ensures their efficient operation

 

A new system exercising remote control over oil wells has been established in Azerbaijan, Director of Cybernetics Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, academician Telman Aliyev told APA.

According to the new system, oil wells are managed with remote distance systems. He said currently, the new system is being applied in 35 wells in Bibiheybet Oil and GAs Extraction Unit.

“In the future, the system can be applied in broader areas. This innovation allows double efficiency in oil wells. This is a great project and is profitable. The new system exercising control over oil wells and ensures their efficient operation. This allows saving power, doubles efficiency. The application of the new technology makes it available to reveal secret period of possible accidents in oil wells and ensures their efficient operation,” he said.

Telman Aliyev said the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan will determine, where the new system will be applied. He said there is a great need for production of this system. The production of the system can be realized by the State Oil Company.
