Books reflecting true materials on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were presented in Baku on Oct.16.
New editions, including “Armenian vandalism in 1905-1906 and 1918-1920”, “How the Karabakh war began”, “Soviet period of Armenia’s claims”,” Consequences of the Armenian aggression” and “Khojaly genocide” include documentary materials about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The publication of these books and pamphlets target wider coverage of the Karabakh problem in compressed form, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Karabakh Liberation Organization Akif Nagi said at the presentation ceremony.
Nagi noted that these books were published upon the social order, as the study of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is underway.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and 7 surrounding districts. Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group – Russia, France, and the U.S. – are currently holding the peace negotiations.
