Azerbaijani president visits memorial to Khojaly tragedy victims

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended a commemorative ceremony in memory of victims of the Khojaly genocide.
President Ilham Aliyev put a wreath at the memorial.
Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Milli Majlis Speaker Ogtay Asadov, Head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva also paid tribute to Khojaly victims by laying flowers at the memorial, official website of the Azerbaijani President reported.
The commemorative ceremony was attended by state and government officials, MPs, ministers, heads of committees and companies, leaders of religious confessions, as well as Khojaly massacre survivors.
613 people were killed, 1,000 peaceful people of different age became invalid during Khojaly genocide. 106 women, 63 children, 70 old men were killed. Eight families were completely annihilated, 130 children lost one parents, while 25 both of them.1,275 peace residents were taken hostages, while the fate of 150 of them is still unknown.
