Azerbaijan is a very important state for France from a political aspect and it plays an important role in the foreign policy of official Paris. Azerbaijan is especially important for energy security of the European Union as well, Gabriel Keller, ambassador of France in Azerbaijan stated on July 17 in his meeting with journalists, AzerTag informs.
The diplomat underlined his country’s position regarding Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He stated that France supports peaceful solution of the conflict within the territorial integrity of the states.
G. Keller, speaking with satisfaction about the meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Saint Petersburg, stated that talks are being continued by approbation of both presidents according to Madrid proposals.
