Migrant flow from CIS countries to Russia decreases

Head of the Federal Migration Service Konstantin Romodanovsky announced a massive increase in the flow of migrants to Russia over the past year.

 

At the same time the flow of migrants from CIS countries has decreased. According Romodanovsky , for the past two months 15.5 % less migrants than a year earlier entered Russian Federation .

 

The number of visitors decreased mainly from Uzbekistan (-33 %) , Kyrgyzstan ( -28.7 %) , Azerbaijan ( -27.6 % ), Tajikistan ( -23.4 % ) and Moldova ( 23.4 %).

 

But numbers of immigrants from Canada ( 82 %) , South Korea ( +71.8 % ), U.S. ( 38.6 %) , Japan (almost 37%) , the Netherlands ( 36%) have increased

 

 

Last year, 17, 7 million migrants entered Russia.
