Barack Obama administration could reach an agreement with the House of Representatives not to include the draft resolution on the “Armenian genocide” into the agenda of the Congress.
APA reports Rep. George Radanovich said in his interview to the Russian service of the Voice of America that there is no ground no say that H. Res. 252 will be included into the agenda of the Congress.
“As far as I know Obama administration could reach an agreement with the House of Representatives not to include the draft resolution into the agenda of the Congress. Anyway, the Armenian community of the US should continue pressures for the passage of the resolution. Sooner or later this draft resolution will be discussed in the Congress,” he said.
Assessing the influence of the passage of the draft resolution on Turkey-US relations, Radanovich said it will create some crisis in the relations, but everything will be all right as time passes.
“Turks will feel hurt for three months, but ten everything will be all right, because the two countries need each other. This is not the issue to damage the relations,” he said.
