Turkish Prime Minister, Rajep Tayip Erdogan backs up President Abdullah Gul’s visit to Armenia. The prime minister positively estimated the Presidents’ decision to visit Yerevan to watch a football game, APA informs.
Erdogan stated he had discussed this question during his recent visit to Azerbaijan adding he supposes “there is not any constraint”.
Abdullah Gul included foreign minister, Ali Babajan into a delegation membership; this was intended for initial talks regarding “Caucasian Union”, Erdogan stated. “We’ll gain nothing by avoiding talks. You come to a negotiation-table and let others avoid this, such is my opinion”.
The prime minister, saying “Sport and policy are different things”, voiced his country’s position regarding Nagorno-Karabakh conflict once again. “We support the OSCE Minsk Group’s activity towards fair solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Armenia must observe the UNO Security Council’s resolutions touching on the problem. The co-chairs to the OSCE Minsk Group – Russia, the USA and France must finish negotiation processes lasting for 16-17 years. This conflict must be settled”.
