State Commission: Armenia has made judicial show over Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev through puppets in Nagorno-Karabakh

Firudin Sadigov: “They don’t have an opportunity to defend themselves in their own language”

“Armenian has made a show through its puppets in Nagorno-Karabakh. All the processes on the case of Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev contravene international legal norms”, said Firudin Sadigov, Head of the Working Group of the Azerbaijani State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, APA reports.

Sadigov said the Azerbaijani hostages don’t have the opportunity of defending themselves in their own language.

“They have allegedly been provided with interpreters. However, the interpreters are not fluent in Russian or Azerbaijani. There are masked men in the court hall – a means of pressure. Convicts should be sitting separately and freely communicate with their interpreters and lawyers. We can see in the footages released by the Armenians that they do not have a chance to prepare themselves for questions,” he noted.
