President of Turkey, Abdullah Gul started on his journey to Gars on July 23 to participate at the ground breaking ceremony of Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad.
A.Gul has met chair of Kars municipality, Naif Alibayoglu, APA informs quoting Turkish news agencies. N.Alibayoglu has presented a symbolic key of the city to the President. Armenian journalist, Tatul Akopian asked Gul in English to comment on the invitation of Serzh Sargsyan.
“I have information about the match invitation. We carry out a very transparent policy. We have always cooperated with all the regional countries that support peace, stability and security. If they (Armenian leadership is meant-APA) prefer a policy based on peace, stability and security in the region, the cooperation will be possible”, A.Gul replied in English. A.Gul emphasized that the event to be held tomorrow serves the above-mentioned objectives as well.
