July 10, Baku, there was held the presentation of the book “Towards the future” on the 40 th anniversary of coming to political power of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
The book is a new edition of Heydar Aliyev’s Heritage Research Center. It was composed of about 40 performances of the national leader and President Ilham Aliyev.
The publication covers a wide range of aspects of the activity of Heydar Aliyev – taking the oath ceremony, foreign and domestic policy, the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the economy, the oil strategy, the construction of military, culture, education and other areas.
The book is a statement in the representation of Heydar Aliyev of Azerbaijan in Russia on 21 January 1990 in connection with the events of 20 January, sharply critical of the USSR.
Speakers at the presentation noted the special significance of the publication as a valuable source for researchers, political scientists and students.
