Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan Ahmet Davutoglu and Elmar Mammadyarov had a phone conversation, APA reports quoting Turkish news agencies.
Ahmet Davutoglu told journalists in Ankara that he phoned his Azerbaijani counterpart on September 10 and got information about the incident on the line of contact that killed five Armenian soldiers. The Minister said Elmar Mammadyarov went into details of the incident.
“It upset us. But such incidents had occurred earlier,” he said.
Ahmet Davutoglu met with speaker of the parliament Mehmet Ali Shahin within the six-month internal discussions concerning the protocols initialed with Armenia. He is expected to meet with the leaders of opposition parties next week.
