310 million AZN will be spent to solve the housing and other social problems of refugees and internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan this year, said the Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov at a press conference on Friday.
203 million will be allocated from the state budget, 80 million – form the State Oil Fund and 27 million by the international organizations.
Last year 1416 families moved to the new houses. 50 buildings were repaired and additionally 49 houses were built for the Ahiska Turks.
The World Bank allocated $1.3 million loans to fund 31 micro-projects solving the IDP problems.
Hasanov said new houses would be built for the internally displaced persons in Imishli, Shaki, Agjabedi, Yevlakh, Mingachevir and other regions of Azerbaijan this year. Five-storey building with 70 apartments was constructed in Ramana district of Baku. Five-storey buildings are planned to be built in Yevlakh region to solve housing problem of 612 families.
