“Continuing reform is of importance to Azerbaijan and NATO will continue to assist. I believe we can deepen dialogue and cooperation,” said NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen at the press conference on the outcomes of his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels, APA reports.
The Secretary General said that he discussed with the Azerbaijani President how to strengthen NATO-Azerbaijan cooperation even further: “We’re determined to reinvigorate our political dialogue.”
Rasmussen highly assessed Azerbaijan’s support for NATO-led peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan and trainings for Afghan security forces.
