Azerbaijani MFA: Separatist Nagorno-Karabakh regime prevented from participating in international tourism exhibition in Italy

The separatist regime, established in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, was prevented from participating in the international tourism exhibition in Italy.

Rome and organizers of the international exhibition received warning in this regard, acting spokesman for Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev, told APA.

“As a result of the precise and consistent measures taken by our embassy in Italy, the representation of the so-called regime, that was established in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, in “TTG Meetings – the International Fair for the B2B Tourism” as part of the Armenian pavilion have been prevented,” said Hajiyev.

He said in this regard, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Italy appealed to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and company organizing this exhibition and explained that the representation of so-called Nagorno-Karabakh regime either separately or in the Armenian pavilion is illegal.

“The Armenian side tries to misguide companies organizing such international events and to introduce Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Armenia. The Armenian side usually places a few of materials titled “Nagorno-Karabakh” in the pavilion on the first day of the exhibition not informing the organizers and presents it as the participation of the so-called regime. The course of the exhibition is followed as Armenia’s such skinny provocative actions are not excluded,” he said.
