Compensation for additional food expenses for refugees and IDPs is to be increased, chairman of the State Committee on Work with Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons stated. “While increasing the amount of compensation, recent price increases for food will be taken into account”, Ali Hasanov, the Committee chairman stated to journalists on April 6.
The last increase of compensation for food for refugees and IDPs due to the presidential order (19.12.2006) was 50% on 1 January, 2007 and made up AZN 9.
About AZN 383mln has been allocated within the last four years from the state budget to the State Committee on Work with Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons to improve living standard and increase a number of work places for refugees and internally displaced.
Increase of compensation for food expenses for refugees and IDPs will take place recently.
The amount of compensation will be reflected in President’s order. As a result of Armenian occupation and exposing Azerbaijanis to ethnic cleaning about 1mln refugees and IDPs were settled in Azerbaijan.
