The employees of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action have detected a large number of mines and unexploded ordnances floated by the Armenians down Khachin river and Terter river in the occupied territories, senior operation expert of ANAMA Adil Aslanov told APA. Aslanov said that though some of the ordnances exploded in the rivers running through unoccupied regions, most of them were detected. Unexploded 122 mm “Grad” rocket, 57 mm caliber rocket and F-1 hand grenades are among the detected ordnances.
ANAMA representative said that when water level rose in rivers in previous years, it was recorded that Armenian Armed Forces floated down mines to the liberated Azerbaijani regions.
Ammunitions detected in rivers were exploded in the special firing range in Aghdam region.
ANAMA Quick Response Group is continuing inspections in Terter river and Khachin river.
