Armenia invites UN to conduct study on accusations that Nagorno Karabakh is transit region for drug trafficking

At the meeting with Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Yury Fedotov, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan invited UNODC to conduct a study on the allegations that Nagorno Karabakh region is used for drug trafficking, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti. “At the meeting on Tuesday, Sargsyan noted misinformation spread by Azerbaijan that Nagorno -Karabakh is allegedly a transit region for drug trafficking and called these allegations groundless,” says a statement issued by the Armenian Prime Minister’s press service. Sargsyan proposed the UN to conduct study in this regard. The reaction of the UN representative to this issue has not been revealed. /APA/
