All the trees in the Araz valley, Jabrail region occupied by Armenians, were burnt down, dozens of large-diameter walnut-trees were cut down and conveyed to Armenia for different purposes, as well as sold abroad, AR Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources informed about it. The ministry stated that Armenians had destroyed about 120 historical monuments of great importance in Jabrail region, the forests covering large territories and consisting of valuable tree species, underground resources, rich Diridag reserve distinguished for its extra-ordinary flora and fauna, and water sources rich in minerals.
