Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved “rules for setting labor migration quota”.
Under the rules, the foreign manpower quota is subject to approval three months before the beginning of each year.
Aliens will be issued individual work permits for paid employment in Azerbaijan on the basis of the approved quota.
Besides, foreign nationals who are not required by law to obtain an individual work permit may be recruited beyond the quota.
The quota will be determined by a commission comprised of representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and State Migration Service.
The approved quota can be increased or decreased by the Cabinet on the basis of proposals suggested by the Commission.
