Head of Azerbaijan`s State Migration Service Arzu Rahimov met Germany`s Deputy Federal Minister of the Interior August Hanning.
Mr. Rahimov underlined that due to the successful political and economic reforms, number of foreigners in the country were increasing year by year. He noted that in accordance with the decree of Azerbaijan President, March 19, 2007, State Migration Service was created to form the migration policy and control the migration processes. Mr. Rahimov emphasized that the Service applies a “single window” principle to give foreigners a permission to live and work in Azerbaijan.
Mr. Hunning praised works done in Azerbaijan to improve conditions for foreigners. He expressed his confidence that cooperation in migration area would be further expanded.
The sides shared views on other issues of mutual interest.
